Anyone know where to buy a John Guest valve fitting in Nanaimo? Victoria? (besides Home Depot)

Christy, we have a shop here that carries them. What size do you need?

christyf5 02-07-2008 04:46 AM

3/8" Where is the store located?

Aquattro 02-07-2008 04:48 AM

Near Esquimalt, don't recall the name, but I can look it up for you. If they don't have it, VanIsle caries JG as well.

Semi Off Topic here - Has any of you who have worked with JG fittings ever seen a 1/4 or 3/8" JG Gate Valve? Would like to use one for my effluent on my C Reactor..

I have been using one of these on my reactor effluent. They work really well even if your effluent flow is very slow.

I use of of these: http://www.aquaticeco.com/index.cfm/fuseaction/product.detail/iid/8317

Works very well.

I use the same type of valve, you can get them at Home Depot in th edrip irrigation section of plumbing. A lot more control over what a JG valve would give.

No, my regulator has it's own valve. I'd go with a steel or brass needle valve for CO2

My GEO came with the irrigation valve but I think I'll be replacing it with the aquaticeco. Thanks Brad.

Mark if your looking for a great CO2 needle valve try the Red Sea it's been working alot better than those stainless planted tank ones and it's cheap.

Yes, I have some of them in those sizes. Water Tiger in Victoria sold them to me.
