Der_Iron_Chef 02-07-2008 12:14 AM

Hola. 30 year old jack of very few trades and master of none! Been interested in SW aquariums for about a year and a half, and it's a bit of an obsession. Be careful!

Oh yeah--I work with youth who are involved in prostitution (ages 13-18).

SeaSerpant 02-07-2008 12:43 AM

you know what this kinda reminds me of, one of those circles where they say their name and what they have done to get there. LOL

atcguy 02-07-2008 01:05 AM

my name is atcguy, and I have a problem!!!

Johnny Reefer 02-07-2008 02:10 AM

My name is Johnny and I have a line of credit! Mark doesn't like it when Johnny uses his line of credit because then Mark has to refinance his mortgage.

Edit: Mark's not too happy with Henry Ford lately either, so it's not all my fault.

I'm thinking about it, but not a boxer this time. They have health issues. Ozzie was only 5 when he died.

SeaSerpant 02-09-2008 07:29 PM

oh thats sad. ya they do.

Fish Head 02-09-2008 10:16 PM

Keri 02-12-2008 04:54 AM

Heh... Hi my name is Keri and I'm a fishoholic.

I'm 27 and my husband and I have only been into SW less than a year but we've both had lots of FW tanks. We also keep (Many) reptiles, ball pythons, leopard geckos, etc....and rats...and 2 dogs....and a cat.... 65gSW, 8G SWQT, 22+10 SW (Drew's DIY madness project) and a 55g FW...keeps us pretty busy! And when i'm not dealing with the creatures at home i'm doing it at work, I'm a ward nurse in an animal clinic.

SW is slightly more socially acceptable than a crack habit....and just as expensive! lol

fishdaddy3 02-12-2008 05:41 AM

When I joined Canreef I was Fishdaddy3 but years later and no protection I am 31 and fishdaddy5. I have been doing sw tanks for almost 9 years now. I was primarily FW but one day my beautiful wife said, "I'd like a sw tank." I said no. then 3 days later I converted my 33 gallon fw into a reef tank. after that I lost my mind and I also set up a 120 gallon reef. Now I have 1 33 gallon tank with a pair of percs some softies, some LPS and some ZOOs. (and a little GHA...i love the way it sways back and forth in the current). I have another 33 gallon tank with 1 blue damsel and 1 pyjama cardinal and a whole lot of tonga branch rock...it looks awesome...but it just has 2 fish. Then there's the 90 gallon inset in the wall in the dining room with 2 grumpy big a** damsels that somebody was gonna flush...so I saved them because I love all animals...there's a fire clown and 3 yellowtail chromis and a lot of purple LR. Then on Saturday I got a phone call from a friend of mine that reminded me that I had stored a 108 gallon tank at his place and that I had to move it because he needed the space. I forgot about it. It's at my house now and i'm gonna start working on it right away...just as soon as I get the 120 gallon in the living room up and running. reef tanks, a parrot, 50-60 snakes, lizards, a giant schnauzer and a sharpei, five kids, three cats, arachnids, rodents...we love animal life terrestrial or aquatic.

I never have to feel bad about buying something new for the aquariums
I just tell my wife that she is the one that wanted the sw aquarium.

PS most of my tanks have live rock and no corals or many fish because with 5 kids we're always broke... but the water looks so pretty. My family is from Fiji so when someone comes to visit I be trying to get them to bring live rock in their luggage...they don't call anymore.

Hi, my name is Susan and I'm probably one of the oldest on these forums. I have a pond in the yard for the summer and bring the FW fish into a 50 gal for the winter. Bought a little 20 gal SW with some Christmas money and I now have on order a (somewhere around 95-99) custom corner tank that I will be building my own sump and cabinet. Definitely an addiction.

Skimmerking 02-13-2008 03:33 AM

congrats Susan I think you will end up loving this hobby more then FW I did
Welcome to CAN reef
