Would you work for Cookies & Beer?
 

I need a few guys to help me lift my tank off it's metal stand and down to the the floor. I pay in beer and my wife said she would make cookies! *laugh* This doesn't need to happen right away..but some time in the next few weeks as I finalized my cabinet design. So I need the tank moved so they can install them.

What part of the city are you in? If its close to me I can help to.

Been know to do heavy lifting for a beer. Usually free in the evenings.

I'm in the Southwest, pretty close to SouthGate Mall

I'm really open as to when this can happen, I can pick a couple of dates just to get an idea as to when people might be available.

How about Sunday the 10th and if a weekday would work better, say the evening of the 13?

It's a 265 with 5/8 glass. I'm going to guess 800 lbs.

betcha wish you would have asked the weight BEFORE you agreed to do it ....

I'm pretty sure it won't be that big of deal.... considering four guys brought it in the house, down the stairs, over a stub wall and onto the stand. I think six guys will be able to pick it up move 3 feet and set it down without major issue, well as long as I give them the beer first and save the cookies till after! *laugh*

hmmm you might want to give them the beer after to, might not want any mistakes.....suction cups work great for moving a tank that size around!!

Some people may be having second thoughts on giving me a hand with the tank being a 265, sorry I didn't mention it sooner. It was not intentional. If you're still interesed in giving me a hand let me know. I think 6 people should be able to move it fairly easy.

They won't work on my tank, it's a laminated tank to all the paynes (sp?) except the veiwing payne have a texture too them..hard to explain.

I'm really sorry but I have just discovered that my wife has double booked me so I won't be able to help out. Looking at the replies, it appears that there will be plenty of helping hands anyway. Once again - sorry!
