You look like you know your way around zoes. I am new to saltwater tanks. Ibought a frag from aquarium illusions in edmonton. It"s been a week since it's been in my tank and it still hasn,t opened up. Is this normal or am i doing something wrong?

tang daddy 02-02-2008 11:36 PM

zoas take time to adjust but never taken a week to open for me! I presume they were open when you bought them?

landshark 02-02-2008 11:52 PM

Yes, they were open when I bought them. However, salinity in my tank is a little high. Could this be the problem?

Myka 02-02-2008 11:57 PM

Nice Zoas! You shoulda told me about those...lol! I'd like some... :D

The first and second picture are they the same zoa? and looking at the 3rd picture, do you have just the apple green zoa by itself. Let me know. Thanks

all pm's replied.

Landshark im no zoa consieur but have had good success keeping them, they are fairly easy to care for and imo are very hardy for survival in different systems dirty or clean, although they tend to thrive in dirtier systems salinity shouldn't make that much difference as long as you're in params .023-.026.
