I've visited Greg a few times. Not only does he have one of the nicest tanks in Calgary IMHO he is one of the friendliest most honest people you could ever want to buy coral from.

A huge thanks to Greg for the awesome deal he gave me. I purchased a fairly large order from him last week (Frags and a couple colonies). Everything is doing great the size and color of the frags was really good. If anyone is looking for a great deal (he is giving these things away well for me at least JK) his prices are very reasonable.
I have only one complaint about Greg no matter how hard i try i always end up spending more then planned due to the great selection he has. This was a problem back when i used to buy tools from him back in the day as well.
Thanks again Greg let me know when the other items i requested will be ready ( god help me).

I have been lucky to be able to pick up some fantastic pieces from Greg at great prices. He is very nice and can even be a very "generous giving" kind of person. The peices are very healthy with great polyp extension and color. Even without that, his stay alive policy would keep me at ease. Visiting him was not only beneficial in the sense that i got some nice frags, but also in a way inspirational to see the different options that i can take. I recommend getting frags from Greg for beginners and experienced reefkeepers alike. He will work with you in choosing what is appropriate and won't trick you and works with your schedule as well. No pressure to over buy but great service. I am a repeat customer and intend to stay that way. Thanks Greg!

I have only had the opportunity to visit Greg once, and I can say his tanks are stupdendous, his prices are excellent, and his patience is quite unlimited when answering questions from a newbie to saltwater. I ended up spending $100 while receiving corals and algaes that I know were worth more than that.

Then I made the mistake of buying a tubeworm from a LFS that I was told would "do just fine in your tank". I now affectionately refer to it as the "Whip of Death" as it has stinging extensions that instantly kill just about anything they touch. So a lot of my corals from Greg are in the coral graveyard.

I shall have to stop by again once the Whip of Death has died from old age. With my luck that sucker will live twenty years.

Of course, none of that is Greg's fault. I am sure my corals would have done just fine if they had not been exposed to the whip.

tube worm or a tube anemone?

It was referred to as a tube worm but I think it must be an anemone. It is bright pink and has long (about eight inches each) skinny tentacles.

I do not want to hijack the post - so say something nice about Coral Master!

Just kidding....well I have yet to get to his place to buy anything even though I have bugged him a few times over certain pieces. I have heard his corals are fantastic and cant wait to actually see them.....all your testimony just makes me want to see his corals that much more....and of course pick out a few for my tank....

Word of advice - take lots of CASH because you will be leaving with more than you thought you would!

I bought about 9 or 10 SPS frags from Snappy and i am very pleased with what i got. Nice size, stunning colors and shipping was easy peas! I was really surprised with the colors when i took them out of the bag and put them into my tank because normally i am use to having browniporas for a couple weeks but not with Gregs frags! absolutely beautiful A++. Will definitely buy again from him.. dont hesitate people!! :D

I finally relieved that itch thats been bugging me to make another visit to you Greg. Somehow I think that itch is starting up again prematurely in anticipation of some of those other pieces that caught my eye but neede some growing out. Looks like I already have 4 frags picked out for a future visit! As usual I am very happy with my frags and the price, as well as your usual promotion to add incentive to spend a little more :b Cant' wait for these to grow out into colonies like yours. This will add beautiful color to my reef and enhance my spectrum (and my addiction). When those other ones are ready let me know and I will have to come back! Thank you again Greg!

Just thought I'd take the time out to post as frags.org only gives you like 25 letters and what an odd system :razz:

I ordered some frags as part of a group order from Greg. There were some issues in getting the box here on the part of the courier and I must say, Greg went above and beyond the call of duty to get the frags to me. After 3 days in shipping I was pleasantly surprised to receive the frags in healthy condition, all were triple bagged with enough air and water and floating on styrofoam so that they weren't damaged at all. This is a true testament to a great shipper.

All of my little prizes are now happy in their new home. Thanks Greg!!:biggrin:

I picked up a nice little pair of frags for my new system at our recent frag meet. Frags like always were quite large, pest free, and ready to rock right after they were added to the tank. Greg is super nice, extremely knowledgeable, and has a fantastic set up. Can't go wrong with any purchase from him.

I want to thank Snappy for opening this thread, It is wonderful to see all the positive feedback and the opening for negative feedback if any. It would be nice if all vendors would take this gutsy approach as what is common in most business's is people wont complain, they just wont come back. I have a motto at my shop which seems to be what this thread is doing.." I just want to thank Greg for the very nice frag pack he has put together for me. He makes being a newbie to SPS very easy. :) And i got a lot of frags for the money. He even inluded a freebie. Shipping to my place (New-Brunswick)takes 2 days but the frags arrived in great shape thanks to the excellent job Greg did packaging my order. Some frags even had polyps extended in the bags. You can see that his corals are very healthy.

Andree thanks for your comments and I appreciate your business. I'm glad to see everything arrived in good shape & healthy. Polyp extension while still in the bag after a 48+ hour trip is a great testimonial all on it's own.
I am confident that my packaging & shipping methods as well as my guarantee are second to none and endorsements like your's speak volumes. Many people including myself have been treated unfairly at one time or another while purchasing online so I understand why many are so sceptical but dealing with Coral Master is truly risk free.

Greg's frags are top notch! Can't say enough good things about them. Even after the abuse of having to wait a good long time (months >.<)under nothing but pc lighting, going through that time my RO ATO decided it would be a good idea to dump in 6g+ of water in one day and all the heat we have been having-- they still look good. His pink birdsnest with blue polyps has amazing color (even under crap lighting).
