How much is your electricity bill per month?
It would be interesting to see what kind of power usage everybody is using... please also include your province as well thanks!

I am in a condo and our bill averages $55 a month. I have thought about doing a breakdown like above (nice job!) but have not got around to it. Curious to see what others in condo's/apartments electricity costs are!

Townhouse with electric heat; about 120 per mo in winter 60/mo summer.

town house aswell it's about 300 every 2 months in BC
I would have to look at a bill to break it out but my Enmax Electricity/Water/Sewer bill is usually about $225/month.

On another note I wonder how much of everyone's totals include delivery fees, etc. I just got another bill in the mail today and most of it was administration charges, delivery charges, transmission charges and a local access fee. This is what I got in the mail $35.15 total (electricity) Local access fee 3.92 Distribution charge 7.99 Transmission charge 3.32 Administration charge 4.50 $19.73 of my bill was random charges and $15.42 is what I assume is actual usage. Also at the end it says "You saved $4.06 by using Enmax EasyMax". So I paid more in service fees then I did for an actual product...I think I should be ashamed. |
from my enmax bill:
easymax 5 yr rate $64.96 all other charges $27.86 (total $92.82) we live on the main floor of a house with 2 basement suites downstairs. one of the women is only home roughly 4 hours a night, the other woman comes/goes all day but the one who comes/goes leaves her lights on even when she's not home, leaves her bathroom fan on (drives me friggen mental cuz it echos throughout the back of the house), and there's a motion light with 2x75 watt floodlights that goes off at the smallest movement. a car drives by, the light goes on. :twised: upstairs we have 2 pcs on 24-7, the tv on during the day, and the fish tank lights (something like 180watts combined). we pay 50% of the bill, the two women downstairs each pay 25% |
Last month, $450 electricity and $50 water. I dont care to think about my summer bill...
I was able to make note of my historical electrical use and compare it to what happened when I turned the tank "On". The result....the tank costs me about $50 per month....over and above my usual household usage.
condo got my bill today. 41 dollars for 3 months. gotta love it. I never have anything running though except the tank(s) all the time.
I'm with enmax energy and just my electricity bill is about $90/month. That's including all the service charges and  savings. For a 4 level split good sized house in Edmonton.
usually pretty stable throughout the year between $300-$350 electric/sewer/water in Calgary. Townhouse. I think it's mostly all the heat lamps in the basement for the reptiles not my tanks. 3 computer constantly running probably doesnt help either.
