I've seen a few bonsai trees re-planted to old tanks, kind of a bonsai forest mountain thing going on. I was thinking of trying it one day, but i am using my tanks ...well almost. obviously minus water etc :)

Serious question:
How do they maintain cleanliness? Do they have enough plants for a pseudo-closed system that is self-sustained? |
enough of and the right fertilizer combination ect... will let plants grow but not algae.

Amazing! I love that the fish are birds in the scene....and you know it's totally do-able with a little time, rock, wood and java moss.....hmmm
