Where to find tacky?

I want to find one of those tacky aquarium ornaments in the shape of the easter island heads, or something similar? Where would I go for something that puts the Ack! in Tacky?

Petland - for all your tacky aquarium needs.

michika 11-29-2007 10:13 PM

Riverfront has some REALLY bad ones! The naked mermaid one was my favourite. Maybe. So hard to choose...

I want to find something tacky enough that it may have a cool factor when it is overgrown with SPS. Like the guy on RC who has an Easter Island head with green digi growing on the top, it looks like hair!

Hmmm mermaid with a head of birdsnest?

SeaShell 11-30-2007 12:41 AM

hunting with no success. I have a photo at home, I'll see if I can't find it tomorrow when I'm back.

Snappy 11-30-2007 02:19 AM

Catherine, forget the sps............................................... .
 :surprise: I'm sure you could get these heads to grow actual hair(algae).:surprise:

michika 11-30-2007 02:59 AM

Lol! But then I may not have a reason to visit you and leave drool spots on your carpet infront of your tanks!

That actually sounds cool...maybe something to do with the group home aquarium.

Delphinus 11-30-2007 05:29 PM

Just make sure they're designed to look like their counterparts in the ocean. :) Teeheehee it doesn't get old!!!

Der_Iron_Chef 11-30-2007 05:30 PM

Ha ha. I'm a little ashamed that I cackled outloud at that joke. AGAIN! You're right, Tony...it never gets old.

michika 11-30-2007 05:30 PM

I suspect some of those jokes are going to be around for a long long time!

kwirky 12-01-2007 12:52 AM

Please don't buy from/support a petstore that buys from puppy mills.

I have a skull that has been overgrown with gsp. Looks pretty cool. At first he had a mohawk but now he's got a full head of hair!

michika 01-07-2008 10:31 PM

Here is the photo I was originally referring to. I took me forever to find it.

I still can't find the thread though unfortunately. I'm still looking though.

christyf5 01-07-2008 10:46 PM

OH I just saw that thread the other day. Damn its in the history on another computer. I'll have a look for it. It cracked me up though. I only read the first page or so where the guy had those easter island heads in his tank as he was getting started. I didn't realize he was planning on turning them into underwater chia pets

michika 01-07-2008 11:07 PM

Do you mean the other one on RC called Neptune's 220 Build or something to that effect? The one where he made tiki heads in his system and put lights in their mouths?

I would do that if I could. I was researching it yesterday as a potential part of my reaquascaping.

Der_Iron_Chef 01-07-2008 11:45 PM

I think it's great!
