I'm right there with ya Sam, need to get the hot chocolate, although with Baily's in it and then float some marshmellows on top. YUM! Wait! I have no fireplace! BooHOO! I better go run out get the fake electric one.

My cars in the ditch because of the shitty snow. Now if it was good snow it wouldn't be there.

Doug 11-27-2007 02:10 PM

Not only do we have several inches of snow, it was almost -30 last night. Ay least its not that cold out west.

its not on yet is it? with the heat my 46" LCD puts out it would feel like it was real.

btw. if you drove the deerfoot in calgary this morning, you will hate snow. my normal 20 min commute to work was 1hr 20 min this morning.

Der_Iron_Chef 11-27-2007 03:45 PM

Agreed. I had a meeting today at 9am that I just canceled. Turned around and went home....5-car pile-up on Northbound Deerfoot. Uggh!

Same thing, had a School meeting at 9:30 left at 8:30... By 9:10 I was about 900m from my house still :\ Douglasdale is the most HORRIBLE place for traffic it almost backs up to my door.

*sigh* I almost miss the days of walking to high school in -30C weather.

We had a tropical -23C with the wind chill yesterday afternoon in good ole Calgary.

You should do what I do (I'm in Douglas Glen) - Quarry park is now partially open so you can sneak down through 24th to get to Glenmore/Ogden road. I do this everyday and it is awesome!

castaway 11-27-2007 06:53 PM

I left Alberta to get away from this stuff

No worries, I have a real wood burning fireplace (however I seem to use the 3 hour logs you buy in the store  ) Anyways, you can always come and visit me!

Parker 11-27-2007 10:54 PM

HAHAHAHAHA- the only thing that stops hummers are off road conditions (ie if its not pavement, its not going there) and a good ol' chrome accessory sale

:P

HAHA! couldn't have said it better! unless you drive an H1, then i beg your pardon

SeaShell 11-27-2007 11:52 PM

Hummers...... one good reason to argue for lower royalties, eh?!

;) I wonder how the Smart cars are doing in BC with the snow......

digital-audiophile 11-28-2007 12:18 AM

Chrome don't get you home :p I hate chrome, the only chrome I have on my hummer is on the grill and that is because I was forced to buy it from the factory that way.

She's an H3 but I've been back in the bush with H1's and H2's and I go everwhere they do, in some cases a little bit better because I am skinnier. (is that a real word?)

Nothing beats a real wood-burning fireplace. Hah, what a crazy world we live in where the real thing is the exception to the rule.

The fireplace insert is a Bis Panorama. I am really impressed with it. I am able to heat my whole house with it as it is ducted into my furnace so I just leave the furnace fan on when it is running.

Thats really interesting, ducted to the furnace. I know Napoleon makes one similar, with the same specs as their stoves and I believe it can be ducted. Thanks.
