EmilyB 11-15-2007 05:59 AM

Seriously, the sump on RDO could handle you...

reptile guy 11-15-2007 06:10 AM

ya your kinda makin me think you need some help. I don't know maybe thats just me and anyone who knows me thinks I need it too lol They've shown how people make the crop circles and theres groups of them around the world that share ideas and go out and make them. Theres no way an alien is out playing in our wheat fields thinkin man this will really mess with them lol (seriously why travel a million miles just for that? ) Conspiracy guys are trying to make you believe in what there deluded minds believe and will make things up to make there case. You have to look at things logically

justinl 11-15-2007 06:16 AM

4 new conspiracies in a single day? i do believe that's a new personal record isnt it?

I think Japanese space probe is very real
So not 4 but 3 LOL

SeaHorse_Fanatic 11-15-2007 06:42 AM

There are at least a dozen tv specials that show how people with some rope & too much time trespass on farmers' fields to make these "crop circles".

its OK ...
But why do you want me to stop ?
If i see something interesting i would want to share with people that have similar interests (coral).
This way we learn about others and what kind of person is out there.

I am learning a lot lately BTW.

Chaloupa 11-15-2007 06:47 AM

I gotta say, I'm here for the reef information and fun things in the lounge about families and new pets, and silly stuff....the CONSTANT alien and other whacked out theories are irritating and are driving me nuts...I know by the few others who have had the nerve to speak up that it is NOT just me that this bugs...please is there not a site that you could post this stuff on that would be appreciated by the people reading it, not irritating the people visiting here?

reptile guy 11-15-2007 06:50 AM

The amazing technology these aliens posses traveling across the universe with there rope and plank of wood. Can you imagine what they can teach us? (maybe how to take all the leaves of a bunch of apple trees and make a tent?)

You'll have to register to access the Sump.

I dunno, call me a freak or what, but I belive in extraterrestrial life. We CANT be the only ones out here. and as far as all the crop circles made by man......I dunno. Some are pretty complex to be made on a night... but whatever. Besides, a little conspiricy posts never hurt anyone mwahahahaha

reptile guy 11-15-2007 04:57 PM

I'm not saying aliens do or don't exist just most of the stuff out there is easily disproven and made up by a bunch of nuts. They've shown actual video of the guys going out and making the crop circles and how they do it. They did a huge one (only two guys) for a show and they had it done in a few hours with a plank of wood attached to a couple ropes and made it look so easy. The people who make them are very smart people just like how a magician makes you believe somethings going on thats not cause how could a human do that.
Seriously why wouldn't they engrave patterns in rock or something that won't just disappear the next growing season and you know why its because it's humans are the ones doing it and that just wouldn't be feasible to do on any scale so they chose farmers fields lol

Well, here's a vote FOR conspiracy theories, lake monsters, aliens and other obscurities.

BC564 11-15-2007 07:11 PM

Ok...the conspiracy theories are a bit much....but I like them just so I can read all the comments and funny one liners that come out in the thread....lol....they do make me laugh

Scavenger 11-15-2007 07:28 PM

I'm starting to think, we are all alien sleeper agents disguised as reefers so we can subliminally send messages to each other on this site as we plot to take over the planet. Some of us who are annoyed by these threads are really just sleeper agents who are trying to deny their true self and blend in with the human population.

Well it's a theory isn't it????

I think I'll stay out of the lounge for awhile, reality is so much more entertaining.

reptile guy 11-15-2007 09:24 PM

well a bit annoying but I sure am getting a kick out of poking a bit of fun at them lol

Der_Iron_Chef 11-15-2007 10:08 PM

The only reason it annoys me is because I think, "Oh! New thread! Yay!"....and then realize, "Oh. Aliens....*sigh*..."

Some are very interesting and i read them, but 4 in one night was just to much conspiracy for me to handle.

Interesting...

dude, you're missing the point. we aren't complaining about one or two specific threads. we're talking about a whole whack load of useless misplaced threads.

Reefhawk1 11-16-2007 06:53 AM

This is the lounge part of the board people. If you don't like what he is posting why click on it and read it ?

Der_Iron_Chef 11-16-2007 07:09 AM

True.

Why complaining,? waste of time .
If one person finds something interesting and wants to share i think its ok.
What’s the point posting on any “Other” board where everyone is talking about same thing? boring... Its like as if all the cars would be same brand and color, where is the fun in that?

Besides I am not that smart to put out a good argument, all I can do is copy paste from some web site that’s all.

The best part in posting on this board is that everyone can voice an opinion in one or two complete sentences and there is no interruption. Isn’t that cool?
If one person out of all on this board finds something worthy, funny or interesting in any of the staff posted, it would make my day.

I am OK being different; this is very good learning experience.
On the other hand it is very easy to be a skeptic; no work, no research needed just deny everything or even worse get mad, because of some shmuck out there in cyber space.

What hard and challenging is when you can do some thinking and change your mind about something when new evidence is presented.
Not too long ago Earth was flat, and in the center of the universe; we are far from that state of mind now are we not? So why can’t we explore further?

Someone smart said that;
Our knowledge is like a circle and inside this circle is what we know.
Circumference of the circle is how much we know, beyond this is what we do not know yet.
The more we know the bigger the circle and bigger the circumference, the more we realize how much MORE we don’t know (beyond the circumference of the circle).

I hope I kept that neutral enough ;)

Delphinus 11-16-2007 03:49 PM

I find that the more I work on something, the more I find out how much more work there is to be done on it before it's done. It's really a case of just getting up to the top of the next hill, but then when you're there, you can see the next hill.

Are you sure it was an alien? There are a lot of house pets getting out of control lately. Oh, wait. Those are aliens. Nevermind.

I'll be the first to admit that I don't look at many of your posts in the lounge and find only maybe 10% the slightest bit interesting. With that being said, I do reallise that it is just like any lounge on the net or irl and that I won't allway's be interested in the conversation that goes on there. It's not like you're hijacking someone elses thread, so I think many people will learn to use the back button and move on to something of interest.

Kudo's to you for keeping your composure even after you had other members hijack your threads with their whinning and complaining. I wonder what would come of this forum if everyone went into every thread they didn't approve of to try and derail it.

I'm probably not the only person to feel this way, but maybe one of the few who will say it.

Cheers.

Der_Iron_Chef 11-18-2007 02:11 AM

I feel much the same way.

So I assume you're including the staff who posted their reasons why, {which seem to fall on a deaf ear}, in that particular statement? Just wondering.

Does that not show part of the problem with the threads. Its obvious that it splits the members. Some like them, some dont and so on. Then we have to deal with it.

Thats the reason why we wonder about the threads, which is all the staff have done. None have been closed, unless its gotten out of hand.

I hope you dont mind me offering my opinion on them, which is all I,m doing.

blaster 11-18-2007 05:08 PM

Really why does it matter he's not offending anybody.Personally i don't read any of it,thats why its in the lounge.I think reading about how good tunze skimmers are boring, somebody out there might like reading about it.We all have choices what to read as long as nobody gets hurt.

justinl 11-18-2007 05:52 PM

im no mod, but if i might be so bold, I suggest a compromise. Russel, How about you make one thread for your conspiracies. period. just one, and instead of making a new thread for. every. single. new. theory. you. ever. come. accross. on. the. internet, just stick em all into one thread. no, not one for aliens, one for war, one for politics etc etc etc, just one for all of them. period.

people who are interested can check it regularly, people who dont care, dont have to see each new one every single day. i at least would be happy enough with that. what do you guys think?

As I,m posting here also, , my opinion is that he can post all the threads he wishes in the lounge, as long as they dont cross Canreef posting rules.

Of course when members express their agreement and dis-agremment with such, then the staff posts their views or Canreefs, whichever is needed.
