bah! it's aptasia! you really should get those out of your tank and put them in mine :D
but seriously, it doesn't look like any ricordea Ive seen so far. in fact the little frilly bits look indented... weird. |
You can put them in my tank, until you are sure whether they are good or bad :)
I think they might be some sort of Rhodactis.
haha.. a few different answers.. LOL..
Good point Quagmire, Could be a Rhodactis.
Either way I still say not a Ricordea. |
Pretty sure it's Discosoma.... like maybe 99.9% sure!...i've been wrong before.
hahaha the thread is from 2007. But I would say Rodactus. Looks like some that I have in my tank
Tonga rhodactis.

Correctly I.D.ing corallimorphs is a difficult task even for experts(looking for the number and type of nematocysts and distribution of surface and marginal tentacles). As aquarists we usually rely on visual reference alone. Rhodactis are typically described as having hairy vesicles, Discosoma generally have lumpy vesicles. It definitely seems to fall into the Discosoma genus based on this photo.
