Gauging Interest for Cespitularia Frags

Just wondering how many people would be interested in purchasing cespitularia (Blue Xenia) frags? I will have about 5 ready for late November/early December. 1 is already spoken for. These will be for local pick up only, because they have a bad shipping record.

liveaquaria.com sells them for 199 when they have them, people in the states are selling them for 150, I'll be selling mine for 125. I'll post some pictures soon.

So far if everyone who has shown interest in these frags remains interested in them, they are all on hold.

Hmmm.. Those pics are taken under 20K lighting. I'm not sure if mine are that blue, mine are under 10K lighting currently, I'm working on getting my 65G running, so I can take some pictures under 15K Kelvin MH lighting. I'll post some pics soon.

My understanding is that these xenias will start turning blue and reflect more of the blue spectrum when under high K lights (14K and above). What color are yours now under 10K? You will only capturing the color of your 15K light otherwise.

j3d 10-29-2007 04:29 PM

I'll have to pass on this one. I dont have enough light for it to get out it's best color.

Not that I'm willing to drop that dough right now, but I would be interested in seeing a pic of them under the 10K ligting you currently have them under, just for the heck of it.

:)
