do you know a website with the specs for this tank?

IceTurf 10-16-2007 08:01 PM

are u sure that it is a 8 gal, i check on the interenet about finnex tanks and their lowest sizes are 4 gal, then it jumps up to 20 gal

I know for sure this is an 8 gallon. I measured the dimensions and it came out to be 8. Also i have a 10 gallon and this tank is only slightly smaller. I don't know if this is a finnex tank. I don't remember saying that but if i did sorry. Any more questions and i'm happy to answer them.

hmmk, the bulbs Dual Reef Compact Fluorescent Lamp supplies 7,400K Daylight (which simulates bright light on a sunny tropical day) on one half and the other half 14,000K True Actinic (providing blue light for photosynthetic corals).
?

also, my reasoning for it bein a finnex was the logo/nnex on the tank light picture.

the tank rated for saltwater applications?

Ya the light would work for soft corals.

Ya This is true. The 7.4 k will allow good growth for corals while the atinics just make the corals have a nicer color to them.

is there a 14k bulb too?

K sorry. The fixture only has one bulb which is called a 50/50. This is because it has the white light along with the atinic light all into one bulb. Basically it is 2 bulbs into one. The whole thing is 10k which will allow for good growth but also very nice color with the atinic light in there.

Sorry but I am no longer interested. I have my own tank which is much cheaper to set up then that. Plus you used a picture for another tank which confuzzled me when looking its other stats up.

brent_mclean 10-17-2007 11:54 PM

Alright that's fine with me. The pic is not from another tank by the way. That is the exact tank. Good luck with your tank
