On Aug. 4, 1977, Paul Shishis was just a regular teenager working at a Scarborough grocery store.

But, it was no ordinary evening shift. He remembers that day well.

That Thursday night, he said, out in an adjacent open field, the 18-year-old saw what most people encounter only in science-fiction movies: a pear-shaped unidentified flying object with rotating multi-coloured lights in the night sky.

Star Wars came out in the theatres in 1977. Coincidence?

Ya think? What could this mean? I actually just met this girl from Ontario, and something wasn't right....hmmmm

Hey, anyone make their own sushi? Just thought I'd ask.

Delphinus 09-18-2007 04:54 AM

Do you have to freeze it first? I always wonder about that.

Hey speaking of sushi, did you hear they're doing a remake of the Bionic Woman?

Aquattro 09-18-2007 04:59 AM

ya, guess it starts soon on some channel. The preview sucks though, it's gonna be a great show or gone in 3 episodes :)

I don't think you freeze it, that would be tough to chew.

Delphinus 09-18-2007 05:08 AM

I think I heard Katee Sackhoff is in it, which probably means Battlestar Galactica isn't coming back. Just as well though, I stopped watching it. It got terrible!

So is tuna normally like that when raw? I assumed it had been frozen and then thawed to get that mooshy texture.

Der_Iron_Chef 09-18-2007 05:11 AM

I made sushi for a group of Japanese and Koreans once. Talk about nerves...

Aquattro 09-18-2007 05:11 AM

I only watched that once, it was, um, bad. It shouldn't be mushy, maybe you need to try a new place.

Der_Iron_Chef 09-18-2007 05:12 AM

Kenjo on MacLeod Trail.

Delphinus 09-18-2007 05:14 AM

But it's soft like butter? I thought it was meant to be that way.

Isn't Kenjo the name of the game where you make a pile of building blocks and then pull then out one by one until the pile falls over and then everyone yells "Kenjo!" And then some coloured hippos come and eat the rest of the pieces?

Der_Iron_Chef 09-18-2007 05:21 AM

Oops! I meant Kinjo!!

Delphinus 09-18-2007 05:26 AM

I'll have to check it out.

Oh hey, check this out! http://www.vidly.net/video-introduci...-snowbike.html

Is that rad or what!

Aquattro 09-18-2007 05:39 AM

That is cool!! Too bad we don't get snow here! Isn't kenjo a martial art? The hippo game is something else. Do hippos eat tuna though?

kari 09-18-2007 05:54 AM

I thought he said colored hippies

skylord 09-18-2007 06:14 AM

I remember seeing colors when I was a hippie.....

Scott

Aquattro 09-18-2007 01:01 PM

hippies don't eat tuna, do they?

SuperFudge 09-18-2007 01:24 PM

no silly, they eat brownies, then they see hippo`s wearing tie died clothes while practicing kenjo.

kari 09-19-2007 12:31 PM

The wild hippies don't eat tuna but the domesticated ones yes.:rainbowa:
No wait a minute.. maybe that was the house hippo.

All I know is DON'T let the house hippo eat the brownies! All kinds of problems from that.

Der_Iron_Chef 09-19-2007 02:44 PM

Hippo like you belong in the zoo.

Umm. Little Britain reference. Anyone?
