Does anybody knows how to take care of it?
I have no fish in my Nano, so no food goes in, just reef roids for corals.

that looks like a finger leather frag, with no fingers of course, but they will grow. They like medium light and medium flow if I am not mistaken.

Looks like baby xenia to me. I base that on the "flower" shape of each stalk.

i think its possibly something called a heteroxenia, they have a body and head like a toadstool but xenia like polyps, hard to find a good pic with google though.

Looks like a mini version of a toadstool I have in my tank. I'll try to get a pic when it opens up.

Its definitely a finger leather, i have one just like it. Not too sure what that red thing is on it though, shrimp? anemone?

That is a great shrimp that is in the picture as well. I had one that hosted in a fungia . I fed only reefroids in that tank to it seemed to do well.

Sorry people i wasn't clear enogh and was not talking about leather , needed info on the shrimp :)

LOL...I was wondering why you needed help identifying the coral! But everyone was shooting guesses at the coral, so I ran with it :)

I have never seen a shrimp like that before. In fact, I don't even know what I'm looking at? Can you get a full body shot? (ooh-la-lah...)

yea, i think i can ID a leather coral after all these years in the hobby LOL.
Well my own fault i need to be more specific for sure.

I've been tryng to get a clear shot at this thing for long time but it is so transparent that point and shoot camera doesn't focus on it. I will try with my D70 in manual mode to get a better shot.

If the shrimp is all transparent I would say it's a crystal shrimp. However if the red and white (that I see in the pic) is part of the shrimp (which I think it is) then I have no idea what type it is. Good luck. BTW I thought it was funny everyone was telling you what coral it was, when I thought for sure you must mean the shrimp ID :lol:

I got curious so I thought I'd try to find it on the net. Anyway it is a Periclimenes Koroensis more commonly know as a type of Aneomone shrimp. There is pic's of it in the shrimp/crab identification section (on canreef) under aneomone shrimp part. There is also a pic. under this site http://www.eyefathom.com/photos.php?picID=1405 Unfortunately these sites only tell you what it is not how to take care of it:sad: I don't know about all shrimps but the 4 different shrimps we have all love mysis, reef roids, and marine pellets. Ironicly they love the mysis the most!

They are neat looking, I assume they were hitchhikers? I have read that when a crab or shrimp is hosting an anemone and a fish decides that he wants to host usually the fish wins.

Your shrimp are Periclimenes kororoensis. I have seen them in Indonesia and Solomon Islands.

I have seen these shrimp in Nemenzophyllia, Plerogyra and Heliofungia .. I have never seen any in anemones.
