New Aquagiant East store
 

Anyone know where the location of the 2nd Aquagiant store that going to open at East of the city in August =) Tired to travel to West in horrible Edmonton traffic.

They're opening another store?

I wonder if they'll have the same great service as the original store?!?

They have some interesting tanks at a decent price, which have had very mixed reviews. I love mine, but it was a PITA to get set up, plumbing-wise, and mine is (thankfully, so far) not one of the ones that has tried to share its watery goodness with the carpet.

Other than that, the stores are filled with badly-maintained livestock and cheaply-made drygoods.

Not my favourite franchise.

I got one of the large tank.. thanks to the IS metrics, the plumbling kind of little headache as we based on US standard. I got total of 5 fish tanks from them and none having any leak or disaster issue, the last tank I got from them is around 220g

I mostly don't get livestock there.. except some coral with some deal.. =)

- only know that they open up 2nd store by the owner on the East of the City .. I think near Cleaview area around August.

aquagiant is just fine, fair prices & pretty good quality for the $, they're service seems just fine, when you have a limited budjet to work with that's the place to goto. seting up a 20g reef/fish tank for under 300 isn't bad at all . one can buy a hagen tank, take it home & find out it leaks or breaks

They must be doing something right if they can open another store!!!

sometime september just went there got a 4' stand 18'' wide for 90 bucks

Didn't go in but was driving up 50st the other day and seen the open sign lit up.

I bought my new tank there. Great price, but plumbing is a beach. No issues with breakage or leakage. They're hard to understand, but helpful.

I have had no issues with the staff. Very friendly. I agree with comments regarding the quality of their stock. However the turn over seems to be good so people must be buying.

heads up.. regular sized bulkheads do not fit the pre - drilled holes. Buy some shares in a silicone company.

East side 50st, about 129 ave in the strip mall just south of Arby's.

i been there, i havent found it a big issue with any of there stores, ya there is a few dead ones in like the odd tank, but dont you get that in any store?

in other stores they take the dead ones out!!!!!!!! dont buy their livestock but had no problem with their tanks.

dont wanna bash aquagiant been there stayed 10 mins walked out the service sucked the state of their tanks they had up and running was at best mediocre and quite a filthy mess maybe store 2 will be better, the new one is where guardian drugs used to be on 50st just north of the yellowhead behind the mcdonalds by the arbys and beside the mcgavins breadbasket it is in the strip mall i make my bread deliveries there every night so i am the most reliable source as i see it once a day:biggrin:

the east store is no better. when i was there they were stocking brand new tanks that were no where near ready for anything. i bought a blueface angel there just so it didnt die. it had white spot and was swimming sideways while gasping. not long after moving him home u could see a big difference, doing good now. if they cared at all they wouldnt rush their opening or put clown triggers with multiple yellow tangs to have their eyes picked out of their head. must have been about 20 one eyed and no eyed poor little tangs. GIANT AQUA GRAVEYARD. if u take offense to this or disagree than u are no better than them and probably should not be in the hobby:mad: he also told me that he dosnt feed his fish very often because it dirtys up the tanks?!?!? thats why they all have sunken stomachs. not impressing and makes me want to leave the hobby just to stop it
