New aquascape in seahorse tank
I just added some Tonga brancy live rock to my seahorse tank.... what do you think?
Here is the tank before: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...DSC_0098-1.jpg And now.... excuse the dirty glass! I was too lazy: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...r00/46gal3.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...0/46gal2-1.jpg Some of the happy girl... boy was too shy as usual: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2.../seahorse1.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2.../seahorse2.jpg :) -Diana |
Cool effect!

I really like it!

That looks excellent! WOW, I would love to successfully keep Seahorses!
|
nice! i love the new aquascape. looks much more full now :)
|
What kind of macroalgae is that? I want some to spruce up my mantis tank.
|
The tank looks great with the added LR.
|
Thanks everyone, i plan to add different kinds of macro and make this a 'planted' saltwater tank. :)

Diana, I want it all.
I love the way you design your tanks. It gives the impression of many hiding places rather than a reef tank that showcases a garden. It's always fun when you're looking at your tank and a critter comes running by :D. |
Love the new look Diana. I bet the horsies love the new LR you added. Have you
ever thought of maybe adding some soft corals? maybe a few mushrooms or zoas just to add more colour. Anyways the tank looks great as is just a thought :) gl with your horsies. |
Thanks for the comments. :)
I do have a red mushroom in there, and in the past had some other ones which didnt do so well because I let the tank get so overgrown that they had no light. I will probebly add some more eventually as I get frags from my reef tank... but I'm not in any rush. I'd rather focus on the macro. :) -Diana |
Could you please explain the types of macro you have in there?
|
I have some that I have no idea what they are... but the ones I know are:
-Caulerpa prolifera -Suction-cup caulerpa -Cheato -Botryocladia "Red Grape Caulerpa" -I think a type of red Gracilaria -Lots of little types that have grown out of the live rock, and also some little patches of "maidens hair" that are left over from a chunk I had. There is also some *shudder* hair algae and bubble algae. Unfortunately when trying to please the good you also get the bad! ;) -Diana |
