Rainbow monti let's see them
 

anyone have a rainbow monti? let's see some pics..mine is just starting to get it's full color.

i would post a pic to start it off but I can't get a decent shot right now.

i dont know how many pics you are going to get, because i dont think there is alot of the rainbow montis out there. if someone has one and wants to frag it PLEASE let me know

Fastfish just curious where you got your piece of Rainbow. If it was bought at a LFS or elsewhere.

where do we sign up for frags 220g?

my rainbow monti is starting to color up, for the longest time i thought it was a superman, the skeleton is blue and polyps were brown, but now the yellow and green is starting to show.

hope it will look as nice as the pics posted :)

I am unclear on what a rainbow monti vs. an ordinary monti is???

Nice Monti Ruth !

Rainbow has a blue base and polyps that start with green, but change to orange on new area`s of growth or under high light.

Usually results in a piece with many areas of different colored polyps.

Sarah - Thanks and thanks for all the pms. I just posted a picture to share this beauty. I actually haven't fragged or sold any of my corals for over a year....just enjoying their growth (still slow tho :lol: ) If I do have frags in the future, you will be the first to know.:biggrin:

jkhchris - Mine is the original rainbow monti from Tyee. I am not sure if you could find one here. There are several similar rainbow type monties in the shops lately. You may want to check them out. The one in the picture is under 150w 10k light and the blue base color up very brightly under strong light.

Thanks Fastfish . I have noticed alot of the Blue base green polyp variety or superman around town but not the rainbow.
