Reef Meeting
Reef Meeting
Frag Swap & Shop OK, Since no one else seems ready and willing to hold one, I would like to offer to hold the first meeting of the year. Date: Saturday February 1, 2003 Time: 11 - 3pm Served: Pop, Coffee and Snacks I will talk to the landlord and hopefully get the space next door to hold the meeting (hopefully we can turn on the heat...) For those who would like to bring frags, I will have set up a few heated containers for bags. I am hoping to have a couple speakers, local, and maybe a presentation on fragging. Also hoping for a good attendance. Wendell |

Oh, I hope Tim will bring some ring/money cowries!!! I'm trying not to have to drive 2 hours East to get them!! :) I'm quite sure a few others want the cowries too. I don't need any more fighting conchs but possibly some fighting conchs would be popular too. I'd be interested in a queen conch though. |
Sam brought up an interesting point that in our communication on this board this may seem like a little private club.
ITS NOT, anyone that has an interest in the hobby is more than welcome to attend. Most of the individuals in this forum have long term saltwater experience that can be extremely valuble for those starting out or wanting to learn something new. Wendell |
looks like i will see you all at the meeting. :D
|
Good to hear, Shao.
Troy, I think between you and Sam, we'll have enough room. We'll let the meeting get closer to get an accurate count of us coming over. Thanks for the offer, guys! |
Frag List
The frag list is growing
http://www.oceanaquatics.com/fraglist.htm Let me know if you are bringing anything. Wendell |
Hey Wendell,
Is that frag list yours, or stuff people are bringing? I can see I need to bring lots of $$ to trade for corals ;) Christy :) |
I see clams on the list. Is Tim bringing clams?
|
oooh Frogspawn... I would like some. Who's bringing that?
Wendell, I must commend you on what a great job you've been doing with all of this organization. You've put a lot of work into this! This is exciting! I cannot wait to go! |
Frag List
None of the frags list are mine, hopefully we have a great turnout and lots of frags.
Wendell PS Please pass onto everyone that you know in the saltwater hobby that they are welcome to come. |
i can bring a couple frags of tan birdsnest, light blue tipped stag and pocillopora. and kalk.
|
OK, I am on.
If I gave it some thought, I could probably even bring some orange buttons, and a good sized frogspawn frag.... :? I will definitely bring money. :D |

Your driving/flying all the way out from Calgary and skipping your own local meeting? Wow. That's crazy (in a good way). :) |
I am being an "em"bassador...
|
lol
At first I really didn't think you were coming- just joking around. Then I checked the Calgary Club, and you really are coming! Yeah! I've enjoyed your posts of wisdom (no rolling of the eyes here) and it will be a pleasure to meet you. ps: bring pics of the guys back "home" so we can see what they look like. |
Heh Jeanna, guess that frogspawn has your name all over it... 8)
|
Having procrastinated many times when "lurking" through the posts for previous meetings (maybe a bit of the "newbie" jitters), the interest that seems to be growing for this meeting has convinced me to attend...
