it may have been announced but I bet it won't be out for a year or two.

LOL yeah this is Blizzard were talking about.
Once they pick a release date add at least another 6 months.

But that's okay, I think the point here is that they are developing it for a platform that won't go defunct in three years (consoles).

Anyway, this has revamped my need to play Starcraft. Anyone wanna game with me?

stupid blizzard and their blizzard downloader. Why can't they just put the trailer on http, the cheapskates? I wish they would give up on their distributed download system and make it easier on their customers to get their products.

I don't know why they don't make it for the consoles. Blizzard's been known for making games that have low sys-requirements in order to sell them to a broader audience. Making them for the 360 and the ps3 would be almost intelligent, I think.

Besides, I'm just waiting for a good reason to stop upgrading my PC with a $450 video card and a $500 processor/mobo combo every 12-18 months, along with the power supplies, the cases, the cooling systems, etc etc etc.

Basically I'm getting tired of the cost involved with computer gaming heh...

Anyways, sounds like a sweet sequel though

You must also remember this can also go the way star craft ghost did...as in dropped....Although I hope that doesn't happen!

I caved in an bought the battlechest today. I can't wait any longer for SC 2, so I am settling on playing the original again. I lost my original SC disc, but still own brood war (annoying). The battlechest was only 20$ though, so game on!

Anyone interested, PM me if you want to set up a game.. I will be rusty as hell, been years since I have played.

STILL no release date on SC2.... hopefully they come out with some news soon here... I think all us SC nerds are getting antsy.

This was announced years ago, its been in development for 4-5 years.

Speculated for years but officially announced last May.
