group buy on copepods

Any one interested in joining in a group purchase. This is a copy of a email from this website. If the local guys would carry it we would not need to do this!!! I will order and purchase it .

Hi there - I do ship to Canada, there are two methods. I can send Fedex international (around $45) or USPS nonguaranteed ($16), which takes about 4 days. I have had good luck with the shipping so far. If you get a group together and order 4 or more bottles, , I will give you a $16 credit towards the international shipping cost, and if you get 10 or more bottles, I reduce the price by 10%. If you get an order for 20 or more bottles, I reduce the price by 20% per bottle.

How long does a bottle last towards feeding?

Can you stockpile these copepod bottles and not use them for at least half a year?

Zylumn 05-03-2007 05:23 AM

I'm not selling them I am trying to buy some. So any questions refer to this link

Thanks
Kevin

If you get a few more ppl interested,I'd be in for a bottle or 2

Moogled, these are live,so you wouldn't be able to stock pile a few bottles. They would die on you.But with a bit of research, maybe you could start a culture in a separate tank.

Zylumn 05-03-2007 03:08 PM

Quag If you take 2 that would be 6 so far. I was hoping by the May 10th. Thanks for the Info.

I'd be interest in getting some too!

Phanman 05-03-2007 03:23 PM

i would be interested in a bottle

howdy20012002 05-03-2007 04:44 PM

just thought I would offer another source for them as well
http://www.reed-mariculture.com/copepod/
I have dealt with reed mariculture in the past and their customer services is awesome.
there was 2 different occasions where shipments were delayed and they resent the same order again at their expense without question.

I'll take two
I like the sounds of these.http://www.oceanpods.com/
I need something that will thrive in a tropical reef environment.

EmilyB 05-03-2007 10:28 PM

I'd be in for one.

Zylumn 05-03-2007 10:46 PM

I just talked to Ocean Aquadics Its nice they are Canadian and the Tigger Pods are 22.99 an order of 20 would be 20% off and would be here in 2 days. If we decide to go this way anyone can call them purchase them and have them add to the Kevin @ Calgary order or contact me and I will pay and collect cash here. Let me know I plan to do this by myself or with a group order at either location.

Has anybody here used this product before

Quagmire 05-04-2007 01:44 PM

Wow big response to these.I'm in for 1 from where ever you get them from.I think the one from the states with 3 different types would be best.

Phanman 05-04-2007 03:01 PM

well thats 15 bottles so far im counting, so another 5 and we get deals

BORK 05-04-2007 04:29 PM

Im in for one where ever we order from

Zylumn 05-04-2007 06:00 PM

It looks like oceanpods from the states is the vendor of choice. I emailed them to call me today and I will set up an order to hopefully receive by next weekend. Their contact 1800 number does not work in Canada. I will fill everyone in asap on payments and how much when I know.
Kevin

Phanman 05-04-2007 06:01 PM

thanks for setting it all up.

Zylumn 05-04-2007 08:23 PM

No prob Phanman Thanks.

I got an email from oceanpods and they do not take foreign credit cards which my reply was I guess I don't buy foreign Copepods. If anyone wants to set up an order with them (us money order, or us credit card LOL or etc) please go ahead I personally don't have the time or desire. So My purchase will be from oceanaquadics in BC. They will take my Foreign Credit Card LOL. Like I said before PM me if you want me to purchase them for you and collect from you or preferably you can call them, pay and add to the Kevin-from-Calgary order. Also pm me if you do call so I can get a rough estimate on how many ordered.
To get them Friday the cutoff time will be Tuesday at 5.00pm pacific time
Thanks Kevin

talk to wendal

0sprey 05-04-2007 09:57 PM

Just placed my order. I got one bottle of Arcti-Pods, and one of the tiggers, for variety. It was easy to order, too (and cheaper than the US stuff... I know the original link was mine, but I'm glad we can order Canadian). Thanks for handling everything!

Zylumn 05-04-2007 10:05 PM

Excellent Osprey did you talk to Wendal? Your the first to order other than me so there was no probs?? Let everyone know.
Thanks Kevin

0sprey 05-04-2007 10:08 PM

Yes, talked to Wendall (he actually answered the phone), he knew exactly what I was talking about and which order to place it with, no problems. Took maybe two minutes to place the order, tops.

EmilyB 05-05-2007 06:20 AM

I'll pass for now, but thanks anyway

BORK 05-07-2007 05:07 PM

Zylumn 05-07-2007 05:35 PM

bump

Zylumn 05-08-2007 11:32 PM

OK the final count was 13 and we will get 10% off plus Wendall is going to try and help with the shipping. He said the shipping should only be about 15$ or so and will be divided up accordingly as per your % of order. The order should be here by Friday. I am willing to meet someplace central in Calgary and any who lives near Ranchlands NW where I live; are more than welcome to drop by to pick it up. Pm me for address and Phone #.
Kevin

BORK 05-09-2007 01:07 AM
