That is a beautiful brain Greg! I wish I could keep one alive but have absolutely no success with them.

Mark, that's a nice one but I guess a little shy. Some take a while to come out of their shell.

Ok ok, where do you guys have them sitting in your tanks, and what kind of lighting are they under.
The Red brain I acquired a month ago has closed up. I was told they don't like intense light, so I put it at the bottom kind of under a cap. Now it opens up a bit more but only at night. Whats the deal? I have 1 400 watt 14K MH in a 24" deep tank. |

Maybe you could put him in someone else's tank with lower lighting (say, PC or VHO or lower MH) and see how it does? Mine is fully open during the day and then closes up at night, with all it's feeding tentacles (or whatever you'd call them) out. |
Wow nice brains Anthony.
I like yours too Jake. |
Some pics of my favourite LPS corals taken today with my new camera (Exilim 6.0 mp):

That camera is definitely a keeper Anthony, those photos are great

Anthony you are king of the brains! No wonder you're a tutor.

feeding?
Do you guys direct feed your brains and if so how often?
About once a week, after I feed my tank the tentacles start coming out, I blow some mysis over mine. |
It's quite rare for me to target feed anything but once in a blue moon I do.
