What I would like, is a system (like some of the Canreef members have) that filters water for drinking, as well as, for the aquarium. If you have any info about how they're /you are set up, that is the system I'm willing to buy. Please can you include the various parts and pieces. Thanks in Advance. |
Mike, look through the catalogue & decide how you want to set up your unit. I use a faucet adapter but some people have it plumbed to their cold water line. The faucet adapter is the only added piece I bought for the unit (besides extra membranes & filters).

Yes, according to their email, the 10% discount applies to everything other than the full units, so it includes resins & membranes.

anyone interested in splitting a box of filters and some DI resin beads? if someone could answer me this as well...how often do you change the filters and membranes? my system is now about 2 yrs old and i haven't changed any. i flush the membrane periodically but my TDS is still the same as when originally setup...001 ppm.
anyone? :) |
Try measuring your TDS at various points during the filtration process (e.g. from tap, after pre-filters, after RO etc) to get a real idea of performance. With our low TDS water in GVRD, your TDS measurements post-DI will measure 1 for decades, but that doesn't mean your filters are OK.
I would definitely change the pre-filters after that bout of super turbid water we had in November. My prefilters were nasty after that episode. |

Just found out from AquaSafe that they are running low on the boxes of 21 filters so they can only ship out 4 at this time & the other 16 boxes in 4 weeks or so. I think the best way is that the first four members who are just ordering replacement filters (rather than whole units) will receive those 4 & everybody else can get theirs later. The new units will come with a full set of brand new filters installed, so those ordering new units won't need them immediately anyways. I think this makes the most sense.
Sorry for the inconvenience. The four will be: Morgan; Fishface/andsoitgoes; Christyf; and Skylord. I will post here & try to pm other members when the extra boxes of filters are shipped to me. Sorry, but these things happen & it's out of my control. Anthony |
