Just thought I would let you know

Just thought I would pass onto everyone that may care, I have gone totally legit in this fishy endeavour.
I now have my business license (A marine experience) and a yellowpages ad.
I am currently looking at plans of bulldozing my house and building a much bigger one (around 3000 square feet plus a full finished basement) where i have much more space for things like a 750 gallon coral show tank (10 feet x 4 feet wide by 30 inches deep) and several other tanks plus about a 650 square foot fish room in the basement where I am going to continue to attempt to raise seahorses, clownfish and banghai cardinals and have lots of coral growing out tanks.
I know that there are a few people out there that don't like what I am doing because they think I am hurting the fish stores out there.
Well, frankly I don't care and well, I have become one of the stores.
just because I do it out of my home doesn't make it any less viable.
Yes, for those that are curious, I will be definitely be doing a journal on the building of my 750 gallon dream tank.
more to follow
thanks for my supporters
and for the others...whatever..lol

Ahh a big boy license and real taxes, gonna have to raise prices soon. :)

When you look at it carefully what you are doing is filling a demand in a way that retail stores can't quite manage. I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

I'll be in Edm next week, I should drop by for a visit if you're going to be around.

You go Neal! I have been to your house/store and you do need more room and I think your new tank dream sounds amazing. I think there used to be another guy in Edmonton who ran a fish business out of his basement (smelly basement guy) although I was never there, but I believe he shut down a year or so ago.

Good for you! I purchase at an "in home" business too and love it! Keep us updated on your progress!

We need more retailers that provide/support tank bred fish and corals. Unless I'm looking in the wrong place there is not much tank-bred stuff available locally or on-line in Canada relative to the US. Best of luck.

The new plans sound great Neal, wish you all the best and can't wait to see the dream tank log.

I agree the more tank bred stuff we can get into this hobby the better it will be for everyone.
