WoW ! Those are some sweet pictures !! Would you mind if I used the 3rd Goby shot as a wallpaper?

Stunning photos !

Chaotic Cricket 01-05-2007 11:46 PM

Where, if iI might ask did you purchase that beautiful goby from?

Quite spectaclar photos as well. I had my Digital SLR for 3 days before my friends kid dropped it in the ocean while we were vacationing in the caymans. No warranty coverage there.

Jake 01-06-2007 12:21 AM

It's a Wheeler's Watchman Goby and was purchase in a LFS in Québec City!

Is a watchman, so all he does is stand and watch

Jake 01-07-2007 01:28 AM

Just took some shots of my christmas gift, its a Cadlights 9 gallons Nano!

There's about 9 pounds of LR and 16w daylights + 16w actinics, was wondering if there was enough light for shrooms, rics and zoanthids??

How did you find the cadlghts tank? I have put aside money for one off their 25 gallon setups with the halide lamp, but have held of until I am 100% sure that I want to purchase it.

Der_Iron_Chef 01-14-2007 10:25 PM

Goniopora Tenuidens?

Did you see it fully open where you bought it? They tend to expand much larger than you'd expect, if you're not accustomed to them. It's a beauty. Look at goniopora.org for more info (if you're not accustomed to their care already, that is....if you are, just ignore me )

Jake 01-14-2007 10:41 PM

Hi Drew!

Tx for the advice, i read alot before buying this little guy, and goniopora.org was my reference, yeah it was fully extend but not extremely. It was under MH 20k at the LFS, and i have a 10K, so the color is much purple than blue right now, sooner or later ill switch back to a 20K or a Phoenix 14K!

have you ever own a goniopora?, cause if you got any advice ill take them

Tx alot!

Jake

Der_Iron_Chef 01-14-2007 10:57 PM

Jake:

Hey--glad to see you did the research beforehand!

I have a Goniopora Stokesi, and it's shown some pretty decent growth in my tank. I have placed it high up on the rockwork, as I only have PC lighting. Water flow has been my biggest challenge, as I strive to find a low-medium area of flow for it. I haven't tried to feed it directly yet, but am going to pick up some cyclopeeze soon and try it out. I do, however, see a feeding response every time I add ZooMax.

It's a VERY sensitive coral! Every time I have to put my hand in the tank, it retracts, or bends in on itself. I guess it doesn't like how I smell

Jake 01-17-2007 03:49 PM

Now my clowns seems to really like the Goniopora, once in a while they go and host im a little bit!
