other favorite fish

Boy this December's "Favourite Fish" theme is a tough one. It's not fair, I have too way many favourites to pick just one. Here is a shot of one of my favourites but since this fish was already shown in November's "Are You Looking At Me?" theme I decided not to submit it again. Anyway here is a shot of it showing off it's spots. Let's see some of your other favorites.

I was waiting for that pic to show up Greg. Sure is a beauty!!
How long have you had the blue-spot for?

Chaloupa 12-05-2006 05:46 AM

Gorgeous fish! We are wanting one for our new 150g (if it ever gets here:sad:) as it is so nice.....

sumpfinfishe 12-07-2006 05:44 AM

Nice fish Greg!

 asking people to post pictures of there favorite fish, now isn't that kind of redundant as it's already the theme for this months POM contest.

I think you missed part of the thread title "other favorite fish"
I thought there might be some hobbiests out there that might have more than one favorite. I think the thread should be removed because nobody posted any fish pictures anyway so maybe it is considered redundant. The idea was that they can submit their very favorite to you and post their next favorite here.

Sorry Greg, I have been nicotine free for two days now and it's messing with my head.
I had this crazy thought you were hijacking the POTM contest

K here's a pic of "one" of my favorites...guess he's a favorite because he's new....the other favorite is my leopard wrasse and Copperband...but they don't photograph as well!

So here he is..."Bumper"

I don't have the best of luck with fish shots. One out of every 50 or so is mildly successful. Haven't been near my camera long enough to take any recent pics so these will have to do:

That puffer is way cool, it looks like it has coral growing out of it or something.

Christy what kind of wrasse is that? I think I might need to get one:crazyeye:

I'll play along. Here is my little "psycho", poking around some stylophora, looking for a super sized meal to go. With a potters angel in the tank, I'm not sure whether she's my favorite or 2nd favorite. Either way, she's soo cool to watch.

Damn dude! That is an incredible photo

Greg the wrasse is a tailspot wrasse, Halichoeres melanurus

Great Photo Terry!!

These photos are excellent guys, but don't forget to submit at least 1 for the POTM contest.

Snappy 12-10-2006 05:55 AM

That is a great picture, cool fish & and nice stylo.

Salinity Now 12-12-2006 04:42 AM

Thanx for the compliments guys. I'm trying to snag a shot of my potters angel, but she's always zippin in and around all of the rocks. Greg, that bluespotted jawfish is just awesome. Christyf5, the colours on that wrasse are mind blowing.

Old photo of my favorite fish. That is until it started to loose all of it's color.

Ghost fishies creep me out

Funky_Fish14 12-13-2006 04:33 AM

Great bluespot shot Snappy!

the_masked_reefer: That is a sweet shot! The stylo is gorgeous, and I must say, that psychadelic mandarin is one of the nicest I've seen! I've never seen such a 'white' colour in them before?!!

Kari: Great shot of that Idol! Hehe.

Christy: Loving the wrasse and the blenny!

Chaloupa: You can never say anything bad about a face like that!

Now to get to the point of this post... reguarding my favorite fish that I own, that would probably be my Cinnamon Clownfish, Boso, in my avitar. Hes been a super little guy, gone through two upgrades and soon a third, is 2.5 years old, and excited as can be. Great personality too, and he was my first fish ever. He is closely followed by both my tangs (Orange shoulder tang, 5 months? And Brown Surgeon(Acanthurus nigrofuscus), he may sound dull, but boy does that thing have some sweet blues!, 1 week so far in QT). I dont think I can really pick a favorite out of all the other fish out there... Dragonettes(my blue mandarin rocks!) are super, and... ahh you know what, I give up.... I like all fish

My favorite one is my little Green Clown goby!

Salinity Now 12-17-2006 04:59 AM

I have a couple of green clown gobies in quarantine right now. One of the two decided to hop on the back of my orange spotted goby during feeding time.:surprise: Too bad I couldn't snap a photo of that. It was pretty comical to see him riding bare back on another goby. It was during the week of the Canadian Finals Rodeo, so maybe he was trying to qualify .
