SHF's new 220g reef tank (Pics)
 

Well, my wife & I decided to convert my sw fish room back into our spare bedroom for 2 Korean homestay students who are coming in Dec.

The bad news is that I have to tear down & transfer out 300g of sw tanks, sumps & refugiums.

Bye, bye smaller reef tanks.

Big thanks goes out to Chris, Rippin, Fkshiu, yvr, and Fishbreath for helping move the tank & equipment over. Also to DeepRed for selling me the system for a great price. And to my friend Chin_Lee for his help and especially TomR who spent Saturday here helping me to plumb in my tank.

Wow, that should keep you out of trouble for a while :lol: . What are you going to do with your seahorses?

and I'm jealous, your sooo lucky to have all that help setting up :mrgreen:

The seahorses will have my refugium section (2' long by 18" wide) section of the 72g sump to live in until I either set up the 90g reef/seahorse refugium tank again in the living room or a 20" cube tank for them.

Yeah, it's good to have so many helpful friends who can lend a hand when needed:biggrin: Literally couldn't have done it without them.

I think the tank needs to be running for 6 months before it can qualify.

Since the tank is established with contents from other tanks that are years old, what difference does it make?

Looking really nice Anthony. I'm glas you went with similar rock work from the dual 65's, I really liked them too.

There's a fine line there that really hasn't had an official ruling. Its something that we discuss when we need to.:wink:

Bueatiful tank... Went there on the weekend, and sat there for an hour admiring :) Way better in person than in the pics.

Nice tank! The rock work looks great too. I like it that you have a real mix of corals...Decided not to go with sand eh? Maybe one of these days I could actually see it!Ha Ha!
