Assorted SPS colonies and frags enroute - lowered prices and Damaged freight

Due to the expressed interest. I just placed an order for a dozen assorted SPS of different shapes, sizes and types..
it will be arriving late tonight.
I will post pics when I can. However, I am on duty with the miliatary starting tomorrow morning till the next morning.
therefore, I probably won't have any pics till friday.
it will be 20.00 bucks for a frag (buy 4 get one free)
and 60.00 for a colony (4 - 6 inch)
thanks for the interest.

Will post pics tomorrow when I have a chance

pics

got any pics

howdy20012002 11-29-2006 03:34 AM

here are some pics
not the greatest by any means
however, gives you an idea.
there are green with blue tips, dark green, blue, light green and purple.
nice 4 - 5 inch colonies.
unfortunately, they browned up a bit under my 400 Watt MH
most have polop extension.
the actinics give a good idea what they will eventually look like and I think you would be happy

With 96w of pc your pretty much limited to softies and LPS.

I have the same setup 5050 96w Coralife

I have a torch, green star polyps, pulsing xenia, all look great.

New Prices

all colonies are now $50.00
I need to make some more room in my tanks.
there are a couple of frieght damaged that I will sell for 35.00 (which is below my cost) or 60.00 for both.
they have some dying off of some areas.

bubblepuffer 12-04-2006 08:33 PM

I think it shouldn't be any problem on a 96W PC light since it's a small tank not that very deep. There is many successfull story of keeping SPS under PC light as long as the it's not a huge and deep tank which the light having problem penetrate the water

X-Treme 12-05-2006 02:30 AM

I'm talking about ACRO'S under 96W PC's.....I already have frogspawn, pulsing xenia, and candy coral all doing great......just need some new and "cool" stuff. LOVE the acro's.

Kabong 12-05-2006 02:57 AM

Technically yes you could keep acros alive under PC.
Problem is though they would lose there color and you'd have brown sticks.
Plus you'd have to feed heavy to supplement the lack of light.
Which of course would total throw off your parameters in a 10Gal.
More then likely killing them off anyway.

Richy44 12-05-2006 03:00 AM

Well said Kabong, ditto.

PC lighting

I am keeping monti and acro under 105 watts of PC and NO lighting they are colored and growing nicely this is in a 29 gallon. So with what you have for lighting I do not see what the problem is. Just choose carefully.
