WTT: live rock for live rock

Am looking to unload maybe a few pieces of mushroom coated rock.

Warning: Don't put this rock into a serious reef. Low-light reefs or FOWLR tanks are ideal. They spread far too quickly under high intensity light. It was cool at first, but ....

Looking for nearly-equivalent rocks in return if possible. Or, may sell the rock for cheap if need be.

Tony, just a thought; doesn't your LFS in the area sell mushrooms at ~$45 for a small rock? I know Lisa just passed on purchasing a rock with deep blue shrooms for >$60.

I'm interested. What types of shrooms???

Evan.

Blue mutant space alien mushrooms. Completely invincible!

They grow to about 4" to 6" under the right conditions.

They're actually kind of neat, except, they spread far too rapidly under halide lighting. I started off with one (one!) polyp on a GSP rock. If you saw my tank, you'd know I'm not exaggerating when I estimate their numbers to be quite possibly in the thousands.

I thus STRONGLY recommend that they go only to low light reefs (they were quite well behaved under fluorescent lighting, it's just that I have no tank lit just be fluorescents anymore), or to fish-only setups.

Sent you a PM - Evan. :)

You think so Tony?

I have several of your mushrooms under 175w or 250w since we first connected some years ago.

They haven't spread much. So, is it really the light?? :?

I am lead to believe it's Tony's tank.
He must pump steriods into those mushrooms so he can say he has the biggest

I dunno ... ???

I find they expand unreal amounts if sunlight hits them ... my tank is mostly lit by sunlight this time of year up to the next equinox ... maybe that has something to do with it?

As Popeye would say"Dem things is monskrous". Not to start another round of "us" vs. "them", but I wonder if it is because that "tnak" sic. receives only unadulterated Calgary water. :?: :?: Doh, I have probably put my foot into it now. :D 8) :P
