Would that be pretty detrimental to the sand having it in a bucket for that long or should mostly everything survive ok?

I do know that when I purchased it from J&L it was in a bag (for some time)...?

I have seen things live for over 2 year in stagnat water only 1 inch deep :) I know this because it was my 20gal's DSB and I only removed it a month or two ago. Lots of life..

So I am sure his should be more than fine.
