My Marble Sea Stars

I was able to catch my Marble Sea Stars together today so I quickly grabbed the camera. I don't see many pictures of these Fromia stars around...

Beautiful. I have one like the lighter coloured one & it's definitely an awesome looking species. Good luck with these.

Are they very expensive? I'm star shopping, and had decided on Blue Linkia.....untill I saw those! Very nice.

albert_dao 08-08-2006 05:57 PM

They're cheap. $10 range.

Chaloupa 08-09-2006 01:50 AM

albert_dao - Are they hard to get? I haven't seen one but really like them.

albert_dao 08-09-2006 09:00 AM

I'd say they're uncommon.

SeaHorse_Fanatic 08-09-2006 09:18 AM

Even in Vancouver, the marble variety is pretty uncommon. I mostly see the red fromia variety, but only rarely do I find the marble ones. Partly, of course, these marble fromias are highly popular and so they sell out fast.

They are very nice looking stars. I had one of those last year and after about a week it started to melt and was totally disintigrated within a few days. Other than sandsifters I just can't seem to keep starfish alive.
