Oh my god. That mandarin literally GLOWS.

Beautiful.

that clown looks great with the frogspawn in the background! Nice!

Awesome pics. Thanks.

Smokin' colours

Great pics. I think the brain, though, is not what is normally called a brain. I think it belongs in the Cynarina family (aka Cat's eye or doughnut coral). That first pic really captures the beauty of the frogspawn too.

Thanks!

I really appreciate the info on the Brain.. or not so Brain coral. It was labeled a Symphilia at the store, but I was skeptical. It does definately look like a Cynarina Coral of some sort.. I'm off to do more research on it.

what settings are you using to get those pics?

Psyire 03-12-2006 02:37 AM

Those were taken with a reduced flash, high shutter speed, low aperature, and low exposure. I can't tell you exact numbers because I played with them constantly and I'm not sure which were used for those pictures exactly. I'm still getting used to this camera..

:o)

I played with the first image abit more in photoshop and came up with a version I liked better. I have a 1280x1024 version as my desktop background, there is quite a difference.

does this board have a photo gallery? it'll tell you if you upload it to there.

TheReefGeek 03-22-2006 02:16 PM

Nice pics. I need to start saving for a better camera that I can tweak the settings on, and have better zoom than 3x.
