wow, that is a clean tank!!! i love the new acros and clam. Makes me want to get a hurry on my 120!
|
Awesome acros man! Congrats on the new additions! Very nice clam too!

Very nice! No equipment clutter at all in your tank! Maybe one day when I get the space to do a bigger tank... What are the dimensions on your cube?
|
The pics look great, but, I hate to say it but that clam looks like it's gaping a little? I'd keep a close eye on that. I hope I'm wrong of course!
|
I was going to mention that aswell, but i figured it might have just been added to the tank since the acros are 'new'. Both my squamosa and crocea gaped for the first few hours after I put them in the tank.
Chris |
Of course, if it was -just- added to the tank that would explain that.
Anyhow, very nice stuff and very nice pics. Good luck with it! |
Clam was just added,
Seems to be as happy as a clam now! Can you explain what Gaping is? |
It's a stress response in clams. The shells are open, the mantle is extended less than it should be, and the inhalant siphon looks more "open" than it should be. In extreme cases the mantle can be pulled in.

Hey Dog
