use pantyhose that's what I use to put my carbon in then I close the top with one of those tight strap thingy's.

I got mine from Ocean Aquatics, I love them. Best 9.95 I've spent

I think your thinking of a media bag..

Try with the pantyhose, put a knot in the end (cheap and endless reuseable and 2to 4 per 1 pair3to pakage )AS for the media bag Walmart in the sporting goods /campping.Their called LAUNDRY BAGS ,and come in two size's. happy shopping

AND I worked in a ski shop, they used their O'ladies hose's toes for a pre filter to keep the filter floss cleaner longer.

hEY THAT FILTER SOCK LOOKS FAMILIER...i THINK i USED ONE IN HIGH SCHOOL.....anyways. I know this may sound dumb but Where are you guys using these filter socks on?Is it on your returns going into the tank to catch the little extra particles for crystal water? Or on a HOF on the return of that? I am curious.I have ehard people using them but never looked into it any more.

they go on your overflow in your sump. pulls out some of the nasty stuff
to help give you clear water!
