Okay, sorry, I must have been drinking to make a spelling error. . A rector is some kind of a church official, which has nothing to do with a kalk reactor.

However, I thought kalk and calcium was the same thing. I don't use the stuff, so I am sorry if I am wrong.

So back to the original question. If you don't have corals why do you use kalk

Skimmerking 12-04-2005 01:23 PM

just to keep the coraline going . and its the last toy that i have that i dont wantto get rid of.

Interesting. I haven't seen many people run a larger tank with T5's.

Have you run them before?

Quinster 12-04-2005 11:24 PM

I am running 4 as supplemental lighting on my 180G...love em!

Ruth 12-05-2005 12:28 AM

Me too - I run 6 as supplimental on my 190 and I think they are great as well.

Skimmerking 12-05-2005 01:23 AM

Skimmerking 12-14-2005 02:27 PM

Well i have my brother down and will be moving most of the tank over to the 170 today.. and the sump cant wait stay posted to see some pictures....

Skimmerking 12-15-2005 04:07 AM

Well I'm waiting on the new T-5 12K lights to get here from aqauria .ca from IVAN. for my tank. My salt is at 1.021 now the 170 and the 62 gal. I'm thinking of leaving it lower so I can keep the ick down.

What is the best salinty for a FOWLR anyway?

Well after a long talk with Doug thur out the week I'm going to run the Barracuda Pump for my Closed Loop. Lots of thinking on how I'm going to ru nthe CL. But I think I have it down with a diagram. Its costing over $100 easy for all the plumbing too. and that is with a discount of 35-50% from my brother that he gets me.

1.5 " plumbing can add up like the unions and ball valves and all the 90's and 45's too. will have pic's up tomorrow I promise.

Ed you are probably going crazy on waiting to see the progress. tomorrow ...

Skimmerking 05-04-2006 02:45 AM

I will have to explain this one .... THe 20 gal tank you see here is drilled on the right side and the water is pumped up via a Hagen 400 and returns from the 36W Uv unit and then it returns to the Frag tank and then it goes back to the sump. I may make it a REfugium I dont know yet any ideas please let me know..
