Looking for Anemone
Due to a mishap with my rbta my clown pair is homeless. Looking for any type of anemone for a 65 gallon reef. 400 watt 10K MH, lots of flow.
Thanks, |
Try Ocean Aquarium. Last time I was there they had LTAs, green and rose BTAs and some kind of beaded anemone (Heteractis aurora I think).

I have two clones from my BTA, but they are all cohabitating happily on the same rock. If one of them could be coaxed to move on, I'd let you have it.

Thanks Ed, I'll happly take you up on that offer! Poor clowns have nothing to live in right now.

OK then. Now to figure out how to move it. Let the games begin

Danny I posted in the Reef forum for you.. I have a nice sized RBTA that I could be willing to part with.. check it out and get back to me !

Hey Ed, my old anemone used to move when ever I changed the flow in the tank. Have you tried aiming a powehead at the anemone? Not that I'm trying to hurry you...

And how does he do that?

I've been trying to coax one of the little fellas into moving, but no luck so far. If I could I'd like to move them all since they are all bunched up near the top rear of the tank. My Tomato clown won't even bother with them there. Maybe I'll just move the whole rock and see what happens

if u point a powerhead at them it seems to get them to move or rub an ice cube on the foot (have not done this just read it in the anemone forum on rc)
|
the ice doesnt work.. its just a hassle. All's I do is take my finger nail, and pry the foot off the rock. BTA's are so hardy , don't worry if you have to get a little rough. In time it will just get tired and let go, and presto... I have done this many times.
