LTA disaster...update
 just walked in the door, couldn't find our 5" LTA....turns out it was sucked into the fluval intank   we cut open the grate and pulled him out... what do you survival chances are?? i'll post a few pics shortly.

One of my RBTA got sucked into the intake tube. It didn't get right into filter just up the tube, looked dead and torn to pieces.
But, I left it floating at the top of the tank after a week or so, it had pulled itself back together and I ended up with 3 RBTAs from the one ripped to bits. Everything has been living for 3 months since and they all look perfect again. So, don't just toss it out, keep it in the tank, just float the tube and it might survive, mine did!! |
ok well i put in a seperate container, its still in one peice, just the size of a toonie and it is't moving at all.. i don't think it was torn up at all... guess i will leave it for a fewdays and see what happens.
i'm totally bummed out, it was a nice LTA here it is before: http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y27.../clowns047.jpg after: http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y27...afluval001.jpg |
This just happened to me with one of my BTA's.
You need pristine water conditions and so on if you want that thing to survive at all. It is pretty torn up, It just needs to sit... Obviously if it's stinky it's garbage.. if it starts rotting in the tank take it out right away as your only risking the chance of killing more of your anemones and corals...... |
good news, the LTA is fine  sure, he is missing some tentacles but he is intact, and completely open again.
