Why Does This Happen?
 

Over the last few days, I've occasionally been getting the following message when responding to email notifications of a thread I'm subscribed to. Is anybody else experiencing this? What's going on?

Yup - me too and not always when I do the e-mail thing - sometimes it has been just signing on.

Me three, I got it twice yesterday.

happend to me this morning :evil:

it means the database is getting to full and needs a purge.

I,m sure Titus will check into it when he lands somewhere. :smile:

it seems to be getting worse, ive had phpbb go mental before, you had better get some maintance done soon of the whole database will crash.

Was it down all day for you guys also? Not sure where anyone is? And I have trouble looking after myself, let alone a website. :lol:

Mind you it was doing something different today. Perhaps it was Titus. :smile:

Yah someone needs to look at the DB and clean it up. Perhaps the mysql server could use a tweak or two as well.

Hope you guys have backups :)

Today the board was totally unresponsive, until NOW :biggrin:

I was unable to access the bb all day today

The gallery was there but I got the above message when trying to go to the bb of login

Same here. I can't get on in the mornings but evenings seem to work. :confused:

It happened twice today. Once for about three hours, and the second time shorter.

10:45 same error.... I have the auto log in option selected... and if I close my browser; reopen it then just type the addy It will load without errors... sometimes.... I have gotten on twice this way :biggrin:

I got the error again this evening. Why is the session table getting full? Is someone flooding your session table maliciously with scripts to create sessions or is your MAX_ROWS set too low? Have you applied any of the Mods suggested from the PHPBB KB?

I did the temporary fix. Didn't anticpate so many visitors to the site. Okay it should be good now.

Yup Titus,

Still having problems. I am now able to get in my PM box but problem comes when just after loggin I click on the "Bulletin Board" tab to go into forums, which I am not able to. :frown: UNLESS, I go back and login again only to have the forums on right side load and allowed to click one forum, then error again. :frown:

Can't you just bookmark the bulletin board itself at http://www.canreef.com/phpBB2 and go straight there to log in and stuff (unless you've already selected "keep me logged in"). I find thats the easiest. I've had problems with that main page before and now I just skip it altogether.

Um... that's strange guys because everytime I do a login, I'd do it on the front page. After typing my login info on the right side (above the Last 10 Topics), it'd take me directly to the Bulletin Board. I'm not sure why you'd have to click Bulletin Board after login.....
