Deb lost EmilyB today
 

It is a sad day for Deb and Barry. They had to make the difficult decision to put down their friend that they had for a long time.

Their Doby "EmilyB" was a wonderful and kind dog and it is sad to hear that she is gone.

I have had the pleasure to interact with EmilyB and she was definetly a very special companion.

Thanks everyone, and thanks Jim for posting since I was incoherent.

As some of you know, Emily was under treatment for a neurological problem. Today something happened quickly, and it was a possible stroke.

The whole story is awful, including some really unprofessional treatment by our vet clinic when we needed them most, but all turned out okay because I barked when Emily couldn't.

It's very quiet here now, and we are remembering her.

You have no idea how much the kind words are appreciated. This one is really TOUGH, as I am sure anyone who knew Emily and my relationship can understand.

We received very nice flowers from the vet, it would have been such a great final chapter in the EmilyB Post (some of you have read), since Simon only got a card, and not a very good one at that. (Will Muff get anything ? :confused: :razz: )

I do plan to have the editions of the EmilyB Post scanned and put up on my site, some good laughs in there about Em's lofty position around here.
I think any dog lover will get a chuckle or two.

It was such a pleasure meeting her Deb. It ment lot to me that you brought her along that one day so that I could meet her. Thank you. She reminded me so much of my childhood Doby friend that I lost and have wanted a Doby ever since.

A few months back I was excited to tag along to ride over to your place to see EmilyB again. I was so excited to finally show my guy a great example of how wonderful a doby can be. Emily was such an amazing dog, very gentle, just an absolute sweet heart. Not to mention she would win anyones heart that met her, including mine. I regret not bringing my camera with me that day to take pictures with Emily & I. :frown: She will remain in my heart and will be sadly missed. :cry:

Deb, I'm so very sorry for your loss. I can tell by reading, that EmilyB was one very special gal. I'm sure that she will be sadly missed, and hope that she has left you with many wonderful memories.

Although we may have many four footed friends throughout our lives, there always seems to be that special one that leaves the biggest paw print (or hoof print) on our hearts... :cry:
