Husband Doesn't Like Zoo Tank - SOLD

Am considering selling the contents of our 67g zoanthid tank and would like to gauge interest in selling everything to one buyer (parting out is such a messy proposition  ):

- about 70 lbs LR nicely coloured with coralline
- several large rocks with zoo colonies, several smaller colonies
- a few small button polyp colonies
- one large hammer coral (host for skunk clowns)
- huge bunch of halimeda
- one emerald crab
- 20 or so snails of various species
- mated pair of skunk clowns
- 6 line wrasse that should go into a separate tank (harrasses the clowns)

The 67g is a little too small for the amount of LR and number of zoo colonies and would like to see prospective buyer(s) with a larger tank.

Current lighting is two 95 watt 10,000K URI and two 95 watt actinics, but does not display the colour of the zoos as well as they could be displayed. Prospective buyers should consider alternate lighting to perk up zoo colours.

Pics of some of the colonies taken last November:

Sorry, no pics of the whole tank at this time.

No hardware comes with this offer. All reasonable offers will be considered.

Beermaster 03-28-2005 02:51 PM

I would go in on this with someone

Whats the plan for the tank, Bev?

Beverly 03-28-2005 03:10 PM

Ryan,

Don't quite know yet. Might move some stuff from the 37g to the 67g. 37g has a 175w 14000k Arc MH on it and am considering an RBTA for that tank if I can get a clone locally.

Really do not want to part out. Many rocks have zoos on them.

How does $400 for everything sound? Coralline covered LR alone at $4 lb is $280 with another $120 for a whack of zoos/hammer, fish, emerald crab, huge bunch of halimeda. Will even throw in a few buckets to help haul away everything

Six line wrasse and emerald crab

Hi,

Would you be willing to sell just the emerald crab and six line wrasse to myself (how much)?

Thanks,

Brad

michika 03-28-2005 03:42 PM

I would go in on this with you Beermaster.

Bev, when are you looking to have this out of your house?

Would like it out within the next two-three weeks. This week would be okay, too. Would you and beermaster like to come over for a sneak preview to decide what each of you wants? Mon, Tue, Thur are good nights for me. Lights out is 7:30 pm.

michika 03-28-2005 04:40 PM

Tonight is a bad night...working the late shift..

Tuesday or Wednesday are good for me, even Thursday works.

I probably can't take the whole %50 of whats in the tank though (space issues for the next little while), probably more like %40.

I will know a little more later this afternoon, I'm still deciding on what tank size I want to upgrade to on Friday. No worries, zoos etc would be going into the existing tank!

Anyone else want in on this?

Hey Bev, just wanted to say I like the rock work. I'll be setting up a 67 gallon in a bit and you've given me some cool ideas!

Beverly 03-28-2005 04:43 PM

michika,

If you and beermaster are going to split the tank's contents, I think you should both be here at the same time to make a fair split.

beermaster, can you come by on any of the days michika can make it?

michika 03-28-2005 04:46 PM

If it helps I have Tuesdays and Thursdays completely off, and Wednesdays either before 10am or after noonish

snaggle 03-28-2005 05:35 PM

I would go in on this with you Beermaster and michika. Tuesday would be good for me I will be in the most of the day.

Brad

michika 03-28-2005 05:36 PM

When Tuesday is good for you? I have somewhere to be a 9:30 until probably 11am.

snaggle 03-28-2005 05:39 PM

after noon is best for me I need to go shopping for my brothers B-day in the morning.

Brad

michika 03-28-2005 05:51 PM

Anytime in particular? 2ish? Bev?

Beverly 03-28-2005 05:56 PM

Tuesday at 3 pm is good for me. Tuesday 6-7:30 pm is also good.

michika 03-28-2005 06:02 PM

I personally vote Tuesday at 3....

Beermaster 03-28-2005 06:21 PM

3 cant work for me at all! gotta work for a living you know :D

i can do any time after 5:00, keep in mind i also need 1/2 hour driving to anywhere in the city

but what are we all looking to get out of this

I would want some LR and zoos myself. i am in desprite need of LR i want to get this tank going, so i cant even take it this week

michika 03-28-2005 06:26 PM

LR, Zoos here, snails are always good... I also like the look of the hammer coral, but I can't take the skunks. I won't take the hammer because its not fair to the skunks to lose their home.

Beermaster 03-28-2005 06:41 PM

well i can take the skunks and hammer if someone can board them for me till my tank is ready lol

michika 03-28-2005 06:52 PM

Normally I would say yes but I already have two pairs of two different types of clowns... Sorry

Beverly 03-28-2005 08:30 PM

Mark,

This doesn't have to take place this week. When will your tank be ready? Glad you will be able to take both skunks and hammer

Enough silly stuff  Not selling husband  Not even considering it

Back to business:

Am available Mon, Tue, Thur every week, 6-7:30 pm. Sometimes available at 3 pm daily. Weekend afternoons and evenings negotiable

Matt 03-29-2005 05:32 AM

If any small zoo frags should fall out of this transition I would be very interested. I haven't room for anything large, though.

Matthew

Reefhawk1 03-29-2005 06:15 AM

Willing to split with another person. PM me if interested.

Thanks,
Stan

Husband Doesn't Like Zoo Tank - SOLD

Beverly 03-30-2005 12:08 PM

Beermaster 03-30-2005 01:40 PM

*edit* sorry lost my temper, didnt mean to sound to rude, but i will leave as it is

Thx Guys

michika 03-30-2005 02:38 PM

So everything sold?

I'm just going to abstain from making rude comments...

Beverly 03-30-2005 02:39 PM

Mark and michika,

Here is the series of events as they occurred for me by PM and on the board:

- received PM from Stan early Monday morning wanting all livestock
- post by Mark about the same time saying he wants to split the livestock
- posts back and forth throughout the morning and early afternoon between Mark, Brad, michika about splitting livestock
- no posts between Mark, Brad, michika after 3:39 pm Monday or the following day. Am thinking the deal between the three of you had gone south
- talked to Stan on the phone about taking all livestock on Monday night, but get PM early Tuesday saying he can't afford everything
- get PM from Brian in Regina early Tuesday morning and talk with him on the phone about possible details of when he can pick up livestock, earliest being April 1st weekend
- Stan posts Tuesday morning at 12:15 am asking for PMs from folks to split livestock with him
- no replies on board or PMs all day to split livestock between Mark, Brad, michika or Stan.
- call from Stan at 12:20 pm Tuesday saying he and Brad want to split the livestock
- had to call Brian back in Regina to tell him livestock sold

Now, I'm in the situation where I want to find new homes for my livestock with a minimum of fuss and confusion. People who had been talking on the board saying they wanted to split livestock did not reply either on the board or by PM to me stating for sure they would be here at a particular time or day. Stan DID contact me stating his and Brad's intentions of being here Tuesday night at 6 pm.

In all fairness, Mark and michika, you could have PMed Stan when he offered to split the livestock in his post to the thread. You could have also been in contact with each other to finalize the deal the three of you seemed to have going and set up a time for pick up with me. It appears to me, from where I sit, that you did neither

As I said, I wanted new homes for my livestock. Wasn't trying to tick anyone off, but the first one(s) to finalize the deal got the deal. Very sorry you missed out

michika 03-30-2005 02:45 PM

I was still up for it, I just wished someone could have PMed me.

I'm sorry my school and work keeps me offline and away from my computer so much that I couldn't hang out on the board Monday night and Tuesday.

michika 03-30-2005 02:56 PM

Bev,

I'm confused, how are Beermaster and I supposed to know that you received a PM from Stan when there is nothing on the board that indicates this?

When Stan posted about wanting to split the livestock I thought he wanted to go in on it with the current group or take everything with another person if the deal between myself, Mark and Brad fell through.

This is frustrating, and I understand that you wanted to get the livestock out of your home but you should have PMed Brad, myself or Mark to see if our deal was still in the making. I'm disapointed in the way this went down, and that will be all I'm going to say on the topic.

Beermaster 03-30-2005 03:14 PM

well as far as i knew, michika, brad and myself where going in on this, then al of a sudden on tuesday, Stan pops in and says he would like to split with someone ?????????

after i though we where already doing this

but its done now, nothing else to say about this but

i will make sure i am quicker on the next one, and make sure that i PM everyone envolved so that i might keep a deal going.

Reefhawk1 03-31-2005 01:42 AM

Tank

As far as I'm concerned, Beverly was in this to make a sale, not to accommodate people's schedules and tip-toe around specific issues. I pm'ed Beverly at 8 a.m. and I did not post "pm sent" on the board because I didn't have time.

I pm'd Brad and asked him if he wanted to split it between the two of us. He told me that he had not heard anything form Beermaster and Michika, so I progressed in making a deal with Beverly over the phone.

Frankly, if you wanted the tank contents, you should have confirmed the sale with Beverly, she shouldn't have to chase you around to confirm the deal. If you had confirmed the deal, you would have had the tank. Simple as that

Stan
