r/o unit
 

looking to buy a r/o unit. what are the types people are running out there? are you satisfied with them?
any suggestions where to buy?

I just ordered the Aquasafe one off of E-Bay...

thats the one i was looking at, what size did you get?

they are really well built and i would suggest gettign the 100 gpd unit, just for the reason is, you will not get 100 gpd out of the unit unless you have a booster attached to the unit.

whats the waste water ratio?
a booster helps reduce the ratio? not too concerned about 100gpd, probably just need 1 for top ups and more weekly for water changes.

I got the MAXIMUS or something like that.
It is the one with the RO/DI and the holding tank.

Apparently you can call them directly to order. I ordered it off of E-Bay Buy Now auction. It apparently is being shipped today, so I will install it this weekend. I will let you know how it goes.

But its still cheaper to order from Aqua-safe's Ebay store or call them direct. :cool:

Which one should I buy off ebay? The one with the pressurized tank or the one with the colour changing resin tube?

i'm looking at the aquarium one, the one without a tank.
i'm going to be using it to fill a jug, then putting it away for a few days.

I am using the one with a tank. I like it. You always have 2 1/2 gallons of ro water at any time and once you take some it starts filling again. If you have the room for the tank I would get it, but I also loose about 1-2 gal a day out of my tank anyways :cool:

why dont you go thru paypal, i'm sure they'd take amex.

I tried Paypal on Ebay and it didn't give me the option to use Amex. I guess they can pick and choose. I'm just going to order one from Aquaria Canada, they said they're getting more next week along with some PC bulbs that I need.
