Some SPS pics
I've been away alot working so I decided to take some pics of some of my favourite corals so I can view them on the road. These pics are almost identical to the human eye so I'm quite pleased that I've finally found out how to work my camera. I turned the atinics off for all the pics which makes them a lot more real because the camera's not trying to filter out the massive amount of blue from those bulbs. Heres some of the pics I took today.
The view from the end of my tank: http://www.canreef.com/photopost/dat..._4361a-med.jpg The infamous Bali Slimer, thanks Shao http://www.canreef.com/photopost/dat...6IMG_4366a.jpg Some of Brads corals and frags I got from him: http://www.canreef.com/photopost/dat...6IMG_4385a.jpg http://www.canreef.com/photopost/dat...6IMG_4378a.jpg http://www.canreef.com/photopost/dat...6IMG_4375a.jpg BTW Brad, they are doing quite well in my tank. Whenever you set up your new tank, just say when. Milli and Tri-color I got from Kari in Calgary, thanks again Kari.. one of my favourites http://www.canreef.com/photopost/dat..._4371a-med.jpg My favourite Bali aquacultured I've got from OA, another one of my favorites: http://www.canreef.com/photopost/dat..._4353a-med.jpg My $15 RBTA that I picked up from Denman before they almost closed down.... thinking back I should have bought all 4 that were left. This guy is stretching about 8" across in this picture. I'm waiting for it to split ..... waiting...... and waiting .... http://www.canreef.com/photopost/dat...6IMG_4354a.jpg My Blastomussa. I don't know the scientific name but I call it the Christmas Blasto... self explanotory http://www.canreef.com/photopost/dat..._4386a-med.jpg And finally my attempt to defy the laws of the average reefer with my goniophora Flower Pot. This guy I've had since beginning of December and its mounted on a piece of live rock on three points. Nice flow around it and under it, you can see it in the corner of the first picture above. It has grown 1/2" down and encrusted part of the live rock where its glued down. If this lives past a year, I will celebrate. If not, I join the ranks of the average Joe Reefer. http://www.canreef.com/photopost/dat...6IMG_4359a.jpg[/img] |

Hey Chin, nice pics! What kind of camera were they taken on? I just got a new one and I'm trying to perfect the art of the close up. They still come out a bit fuzzy though, any tips?

canon A70
Thanks all for you comments.
Danny, I'm using a Canon A70. I'm using the setting with H-fluorescent setting and manual focusing in outdoor mode. seems to work and make sure you turn off your atinics. |
chin you should post some pics of your fish room.. it's almost as nice as your corals!
