vegas isnt a city of anything cheap really, least it never is when i go  i would say one of the circ show are worth the money, like O or mystere. you have to phone ahead on the monday (i think) first thing in the morning before the show if you want a ticket as they sell out very fast. btw the thing about the buffets is somewhat a myth. they do have them in some of the bigger hotels but they are so busy you basicaly give up waiting in line unless you go at weird hours. even then they arent free, they are around 10 bucks or more a person. |
Mandala Bay Hotel... Shark reef pretty cool.

Shark tank looks cool. but for $15USD each, I'm going to search for a coupon  I've got a hobby to support back home here

Isn't the "Econo-Vegas" pretty much a thing of the past?
I mean, have a good trip and all, but they seem to have gone upscale in a big way... |
20,000 gallon aquarium at the Mirage.
50,000 gallon aquarium at Caesar's Palace. I enjoyed the Tournament of Kings show at Excalibur. Its a staged jousting match with real horses and "knights" riding on them and knocking each other off until there is 1 winner. Dinner is included with the show. Free alcohol when you gamble at any casino. Tips will keep bringing the bar waitresses back. Siegfried and Roy was one of my favorite shows. Sadly, after the accident, they are no longer. There is still Lance Burton but I didn't think it was as good. |
AJ, your right... I have however found alot of cheap eats on the internet and alot of 2 for 1 shows ect.. so it should keep us busy. I'm not to big into the gambling but if it means a few free drinks..keep em comming..
|
I'd tell you about my trip, but what happens in Vegas stays there!
|
cool, got your Wayne newton tickets yet? Can't go to Vegas with out seeing him.. on a side note I have heard from several friends that you are best off buying your show tickets here as they are hard to get in Vegas at the last minute.

Free booze is almost a thing of the past.. The only real places to get the free booze while gambling is at the card tables or Keno lounge, Do not expect to see many waitressing walking around the Slot machines. I go every year and 5 years ago and long was the best times Food (buffets were cheap, more free booze than you could shake a stick at)
Dont get me wrong I still love going and will continue to go, I just love the 24 hour night life :) getting up at noon or 1pm, being out all night and going to bed at 8am <grin> Have fun, dont let what I write deter you,.. its a great place.. Some of the cheaper places to buy booze is toward circus circus you can get bottle dutch beer for 99 cents Jim |

You sure? Cause when I was there 1.5 years ago, I was playing video poker at the Alladin and had 5 free beers before I quit. |
I was just there 1 1/2 months ago and I played lots of slots while I was there and I go lots of free beer Just make sure you tip well and she will come back  I usually tipped $1-$2 a beer and it was just flowing.
I hit every casino from Mandalinn Bay to Tressure Island and of course I also went to Freemont Street You just have to go there  |
Yes I am sure. I watched every casino I was in and rarely saw any Waitressing wandering about the slots. There was the odd one but not many.. I even experienced it myself. I was in an area for about 2 hours play slots, and never saw 1 waitress, this was on numerous occasions through out my week stay there, so it was not a one time thing. We had way better service in the Keno Lounge, and at the Craps table, every 15 20 mins they were around...

When I was down there, I got lots of free booze on the tables-but as I am sure you already know, there is a method to their madness
I could let you in on a system I played @ Blackjack, what a second, I lost $1500 U.S in five minutes...won it all back though! It's all impressive! |
