Wind 22 km/h W

Wind Chill / Humidex -53°C

Jason McK 01-14-2005 02:49 PM

that's just insane. I was there last week when it was in the -27s and I felt like I was going to die. I hope your not a smoker. With the new smoking laws in SK there now just as bad as BC. Standing outside to have a smoke isn't fun

Brrrrr. (JK)

Nirvana, I mean the Lower Mainland, got down to -9C last night, according to the Weather Network. For you Prairie people, -9C is shorts & t-shirt weather, eh

Anybody having trouble keeping their tanks tropical under these circumstances?

Anthony (Burnaby, BC)

Quinster 01-14-2005 06:38 PM

actually the tank is the only thing near tropical in Winnipeg right now...thank god I upgraded from a 90 to a 180, I can just slip on some shorts and dive in....lol

And people wonder why I own land in Manitoba but live here.

Btw the winter here is over on Sunday. Back to the rains of springtime  .

marie 01-15-2005 12:09 AM

I lived in grande prairie for 2 yrs. The damp cold, that people complain about here, is just a bunch of hooie used to elicit sympathy

Skimmerking 01-15-2005 01:52 AM

well you think that is bad i did an exercise here in Manitoba and it was -75 with the wind chill. And another time -53 and i was out for a week on an exercise playing silly bugger firing a 105 mm howziter. man that was cold waiting for the orders to come over the radio.
