A very sad day Deb

It always hurts when we lose a member of the family. Although I only got to meet Simon a couple of times he was a very cool dog, definately full of Love. Celebrate the joy that he brought you and Barry.

Heartfelt condolences.

I also feared the worst for Emily when I saw the post. Surprised to hear it was Simon.

Curl up in his favorite chair and pet the others for me.

EmilyB was also asked about by the vet, she is very "Stumbelina" but as long as her spirits are up, and she doesn't seem to mind crashing, falling, and the occasional tumble down the stairs , we hold out hope for her.

By the way, who is Muff?

Doug 01-12-2005 02:55 PM

Hi Deb;
Sorry for your loss. I know how much they mean to us.

Canadian Man 01-12-2005 03:45 PM

Sorry for you loss you guys

How old is Emily B Deb?

EmilyB 01-12-2005 09:39 PM

EmilyB is 10 Jonathan. She has a nerve disorder that came on over the past six months or so.

Canadian Man 01-12-2005 09:50 PM

Is there nothing they can do for her? Does it affect her all the time?

NALA (CHOCO LAB) is 7 now and is starting to get arthritis but sure has the heart of a fighter!

Veng68 01-23-2005 12:40 PM

Hey Deb

Sorry to hear about Simon

Condolences,
Vic [veng68]

Sorry Jon, I just saw your post. They did x-rays to rule out a spinal problem. It is definitely neurological, and the next step would be an MRI, which would do nothing more than confirm something like Wobblers disease, which may or may not be operable. If I had that kind of money, I'd do it.

Those labs are something. Meg is 14 years old, had two knee surgeries and is still in the best shape, although she is deaf as a stone now.

At least losing older pets, you know they've had a good life, as hard as it is to let them go.

Thanks again everyone for your kind words. It's funny how much less work two dogs are than three - or I'd probably already have another one.

I'm sorry to here that Deb, my condolences to you and Barry

I would have responded earlier but that dam# rock was so heavy that I needed a hand with it before I could crawl out from underneath it
