Ummmm..what'da mean?....Mike,are they makin fun of us Army guys??
Hey Mike, have any pics of the new tank yet? |
I have a 240/3 that I have taken off my 125 gallon reef. I plan on upgrading to a ASM. I like the Tunze, basically plug and play, once adjusted, quiet, easy on electricity and does not require fiddling, but I don't think it can cut it on my 125 with a heavy bioload.
I wouldn't worry about using one on a 65 gallon, How much is the guy on RC asking for his 240/3. |
He's asking 200 US for it ..its 4-5 yrs old he told me that it sat in his closet for 2 yrs
he had his on 2x260 gal tanks it has all the cleaning kit and the acessories for it too. |

yes it is
|
The rating for the 240/3 is ideally for a fish only or tank with LPS. the tunze rep in the States does not recommend the 240/3 for a SPS tank over 150 to 180 gallons.

so it would work on my 62 with 20 gal sump then right
mike How much water do you recommend in the sump with this model bryan.. |
if i run it there will be a float switch in the sump to have a constant level of water.
mike p.s just read your pm so the model sits up 13" and suck water from the sump up to the skimmer is that what you are talking about |
The skimmer itself is only about 10" high. The stand increases the height to about 13". If using the stand you need a sump water level of around 5-7".
