Anyways. Thats my progression right now. Done building my stand. Polishing my tank using cerium oxide. Resealing evrything including leak test nor burst test for 2 weeks.

I pick up some liverock last weekend and killed them using muriatic acid. Now they are sitting on my deck dry sun method

Pump is coming this week. I decided to go jebao 15k then i might be doin my plumbing this weekend

I dont want to go crazy for my equipments like buying expensive stuff.
But if i got good deal for radeon for example i dont mind going for it.
But for now ill go to 2nd hand stuff like lights and some other things. Except for return pump. Thats the heart of my system so i want it new haha

I would like to see more pics of your stand. looks sweet but I don't think the cardboard will hold up in water lol

Go with titanium heater and external controller, then get a used apex and run it off there, dual control is better failsafe. If you ask me the skimmer is the heart of the system but to each their own... is there a chiller for this system or Do you have ac for the house?

If you talking about the MDF board.I sealed them using my left over deck waterproof stain wood.then i prime it haha
But not sure if my board are 100% waterproof. Because board edges cant be fully seal. And i notice some bowing when i left my stand outside. When i put it inside the house they turn back to normal.

Yea i am goin to use a chiller. I learned my mistake last 4 years ago. When summer hits. My tank crash loosing 40% of my corals. Thats the day i decided to take a rest reefing lol
And yeah im saving up for apex so i can spend time with my kids rather than my tank haha

The

Best part about this build I see is the punching/kicking bag installed next to the tank. I've never seen anyone do that before but that's GENIUS! No doubt you've thought well ahead into the future and already anticipated those many many frustrating reefing moments where you just want to punch/kick something. Brilliant! I wish I had thought to put one near mine. Would have come in handy so many times.. too many times.. anyway, I digress. Great build!

My 1month cycle gone waste but i save atleast 10% of water to cycle it back
Lesson from this build. Dont rush it. Just because the weather isnt good doesnt mean you need to finish it asap. Stick to your plan and dont go cheap lol
10days total of work. Using table saw. Mitre saw skill saw jig saw palm sander and router

Paint finish: TREMCLAD high gloss
Compressor spray paint
Ghost plumbing no pipe exposed except 3 1ft pipe where water is goin to feed my sump (all pipe are running behind the ceiling of my stand) you get my point lol
So far my kids are happy after all the time i spent renovating it

I rescued this poor coral from a pet store. (which im got gonna mention) 1 copper banded butterfly is eating it.
It seems doing well on my system.i hope it heals fast.
