SOLD.... 120 Reef Setup For Sale
http://www3.telus.net/public/a7a92965/fish/Stand.jpg
Here is a Link to my specs page. This is a 3 sided viewing tank 60"Lx18"Hx24"W SeaStar, because it is shalow (18") I can grow the same SPS others do but with only 2x175W and 2x110W VHO. I have told a few people that I would sell my tank, metal stand with adjustable legs for leveling, all the maple wood, closet next to tank and canopy with light box removed, plumbing and nice acrylic sump with built in refugium for $750 (I payed over $2500) If someone wants just the bare tank and the overflows, bulk heads and returns, $250. My hamilton light box (2x110w VHO and 2x175w MH 10K Ushio lamps 9 month old) I would sell for extra $400 only with the rest, other wise I will keep for another project. I have a Velocity T4 pump that I'm using for a return pump that I would sell for $140 (payed $250+tax). All you need is a skimmer, pump for the skimmer and rocks. I could give you all the water and sand that is in the tank (3 year extablished tank). The sump has a kent float top up system, refugium full of caulerpa and sand. I think this is a nice package, ran very well for me the past 3 years. I moved everything out last weekend into the new 180g system, just sand and water left. Lee |

I wish I was looking for a tank. It looks very nice and that seems like a very reasonable price.
|

Just to be clear.
The tank is still running with only sand in it. So I'm using all the equipement. If someone wants just the tank, that works better for me. Maybe I could even deliver it to Van. I can re-use all the other equipment, except the pump. I love this sump and the light box is great, so I will keep them unless they go with the whole system. I have a few more tanks to setup... Lee |
For those with questions, here is another picture of the canopy open. The fan from the light box is vented outside of the canopy through a small tunnel. Keeps the hot air away from the water. This a good closed system, without much evaporation.

Still looking to sell? How much?
Going to be in B.C. sometime in the near future (next 3 weeks), and would be interested in possibly picking up your beautiful set up! |
I have responded to many PM's about this system and taken much of my time to be detailed in my responses.
If this plug and play, quality built system is too much for you, please be kind enough to respond with short reply. Trying to keep track of all the correspondence is too time consuming (I do have a day job!!). I don't want to bump someone, because I forgot who came first. Would any one be interested in Just the tank if I remove all the bulkheads and stuff. For maybe $175? Lee |
Unless I get a serious reply this weekend, tank is comming down and sand it going in some buckets. Then I'll start pulling the bulk heads off the tank, for my next project. Bare tank $175.00
I'll be re-using all the equipment, so no more PM about parting it out please. Lee |
Lee if i was closer i would take the setup in a sec , but oh well you have heard that before many times .jsut making conversation.
mike a lonely reefer waiting to get my tank. |
Deal pending, tank must be moved this weekend. If not to a new home, it goes in my office wall.

Considering a sump for my 75 and trying to get a handle on plumbing.
What's the purpose of the T off the tank return line back to the overflow area? |
Easy quick connect when doing a water change. Use the pump to remove water. Later I removed it because the valve started to leak. So I just un did the union on the line going to the skimmer. It help if the union is high, so you are abouve sump level. Doesn't make a mess this way.

Guessing that's the one off the green pump.
Wondering the purpose of the line T'ing off the black pump (no valve) going into the overflow return area, other leg is labelled to tank. If I'm understanding the labelling, wouldn't about half your return pump flow is going back to the sump. By the way, nice neat layout. |
