Looking for expert to help design frag / coral room
Well title says it all looking for a experienced reefer to help me design and set up a coral room, the room is about 25' x 10' with water /heating etc. I have been thinking about having frag tanks made but also open to the idea of using rubbermaid stock tanks.
Im hoping for a fool proof system thats all plumbed together, 2-3 tanks and a sump tank. I have the money to do the build set aside but of course am trying to budget on this build. Im located in aldergrove and the coral room will be in the shop attached to my house. Any help would be greatly appreciated and also compensated with corals once things start rolling. Thanks guys, James. Sent from my SM-G930W8 using Tapatalk |
.....step one. Move to my house!
I cannot offer any help what so ever, but I do want to say good luck and I wish you the best! That's an amazing idea. |
Thanks man, appreciate it. I got my fingers crossed taking a leap of faith into this business hoping it all works out.

I recommend not plumbing the frag system into your display system because if you have a crash or other issues (nudibranches, AEFW, etc) everything gets infected. Keep things separate so you always have a "safe space"
I would also recommend a stand alone QT if you have the room to build one and put anything new into that tank until you are positive all is clean & healthy, no exceptions. You may want to consider keeping a bunch of peppermint shrimp in the QT as well and they will clean any new sps of AEFW. |
