My 3 week old 90 gallon aquarium.

I just thought I'd post a couple of pic's of my 3 week old 90 gallon aquarium. Nothing too special, but it does realy fill a gap in my family room on the 3rd levell. I was on a budget so nothing is realy top of the line, but rather what I could afford right now. I'll upgrade as funds become available.

The lighting is a Coralife 260 watt pc with led moon lights.

I used a closed loop pump system with a Mag 18 pump to circulate the water through 4 returns.

Started out with a Sea Clone skimmer and changed to a Remora after the first week. (I think this was a good move.)

The heater is a 250 watt Ebo Jager submersible.

I'm using a Fluval 403 that I had kicking around just for carbon and extra flow. Other than the carbon it's empty.

I put a mini refugeium made from an Aqua Clear 500 on the back and that has a mini pc on it.

After hearing that people are going away from DSB's I just put in 25lbs of aregonite for the bottom substrate.

Last but not least 100 lbs of cured live rock and some salty water!

First pic is with the pc lights on.

And the second one is with the moon lights on.

The pic's kind of suck because I'm not the best photographer, but will give you an idea of what it looks like.

Thanks for looking.

I also agree, time for coral !

Thanks for the replies everyone.

The reason that I didn't stack the rock against the back wall was so that fish can swim all the way around and also stay at the backside away from veiwing if their stressed or just want to be left alone.

If anyone has some suggestions (Like if I should add to the 100 lbs of rock) let me hear them please.

I'll post some better pic's when it's a little more established.

Beauty job there Gary
Also what are you using for your moonlights?
I really like that glow it gives off, would love to try that on my reef

Wow

Wow Gary
thats bright and nice aquascaping. Job well done!

Looking good Gary. those 90's are always difficult to aquascape due to the depth, but you have done well. :onfire: That is why I have gone to an 18" depth in my new tank. , and at this point I am very happy.

Thanks for the kind words everyone.

I hope I get somewhat better with the digital camera in the future and post some pic's that look better.
